Zibai, The White Horse Adeptus from Liyue’s legends, in this Zibai build guide, you’ll discover how to best build her.

Zibai is known in Liyue myths as the “White Horse Adeptus,” a legendary being whose existence is intertwined with the region’s most ancient stories. Part of the tales of the Eight Adepts, Zibai is said to have fought during the Archon War, opposing powerful, hostile deities and supporting Rex Lapis in protecting mortals.

Zibai’s kit revolves around using the new reaction, Lunar-Crystallize.

Activating the skill once will deal Geo DMG and stack Phase Shift Radiance, allowing her to unleash a boosted Special Skill that deals Lunar-Crystallize DMG.

New Elemental Reaction triggered by inflicting Geo on a target that is already affected by Hydro.

After triggering a Lunar-Crystallize reaction, 3 Lunar constructs called Moondrift Harmony are generated.

Enters Lunar Phase Shift mode.

• Normal and charged attacks convert to Geo DMG
• Special Skill Activation: Spirit Steed’s Stride. Can be unleashed every 70 stacks of Phase Shift Radiance.

╰┈➤ Phase Shift Radiance. (Max 100 stacks) are earned:

• 10 for every second in the Lunar Phase Shift state (normal skills)
• 5 when hitting an opponent with normal attacks
• 35 stacks when the team triggers Lunar-Crystallize reactions.

Deals two iterations of Geo DMG. The DMG from the second hit is considered Lunar-Crystallize DMG.

If Zibai is in Lunar Phase Shift mode, this is extended by 1.7 seconds when Zibai performs the burst.

✧ PASSIVE TALENTS 1

After using Elemental Skill or triggering Moondrif Harmony, Zibai gains Moonfall effect for 4s, increasing the damage dealt by the second hit of Spirit Steed’s Stride by 60% of Zibai’s DEF.

✧ PASSIVE TALENTS 2

Each Geo unit in the team increases Zibai’s DEF by 15%.
Each Hydro unit increases Zibai’s Elemental Mastery by 60.

✧ PASSIVE TALENTS 3

Converts Hydro Crystallize to Lunar-Crystallize, increasing damage based on Zibai’s DEF (max 14%).

The rotation to best use Zibai is very simple, she must be the last to enter the field, so once all the skills and bursts of her teammates have been used, Zibai enters the field, activates her skill, does normal attacks (4 Normal Attack), charges the special skill and when it is ready (you will see the icon shine) unleash the skill against the enemies.

So:

Other Hydro/Geo characters use Skills/Burst (PC)→ Zibai E + AAAA + E → Repeat E + AAAA + E rotation until the special mode is over → Elemental Burst once the Energy is full.

⋆.˚ ☾⭒.˚Is Zibai free-to-play friendly?

Yes. She works well without a signature weapon and without high constellations. In difficult challenges, however, she requires a high-performance team tailored to her, so it’s important to have off-field hydro and geo units that can assist her.

⋆.˚ ☾⭒.˚Does Zibai work without Columbina?

Columbina’s presence in the team provides buffs that can hardly be replaced with other characters, but Zibai can still function well even without her, perhaps paying attention to the build of her companions.

A character with which you can replace Columbina is Aino c6, who provides small buffs to elemental mastery and lunar reactions

⋆.˚ ☾⭒.˚Is she easy to build?

If you pull her weapon and build her with the Night of the Sky’s Unveiling set, you’ll already have a good starting point in terms of Rate and DMG, making her build much easier.

There are several F2P alternatives to choose from in the game, so she’s not difficult to build.

☽ TALENTS PRIORITY

Zibai’s core damage comes from her Elemental Skill, so it’s the first talent you should invest your resources in.

Burst is less important, but still deals damage.

So to complete your character, it’s recommended to level up all three talents, giving priority to Elemental Skill and Normal Attack.

☽ STATS PRIORITY

When looking for useful stats for Zibai, you’ll want to focus on:

• DEF, the main source of her damage
• CRIT, which allows her to increase the percentage of damage dealt
• Elemental Mastery, a stat that affects the damage multiplier for Lunar-Crystallize.

☽ RECOMMENDED STATS

These are recommended starting stats to optimize Zibai’s final damage output.
Try to balance DEF and Elemental Mastery and reach 2000 DEF.
Keep in mind that Geo units in a team increase Zibai’s DEF by 15%
while Hydro units increase Elemental Mastery by 60%.

☽ ARTIFACTS

Night of the Sky’s Unveiling is the best-in-slot set for Zibai’s build and is the recommended set to farm, as it fully works with Zibai’s kit, increasing both his personal damage and the entire team’s Lunar-Crystallize damage.

☽ 5★ WEAPONS

Lightbearing Moonshard is obviously her best in slot and synergizes with her kit, but if you can’t pull it there are still some really good 5-star alternatives.

☽ 4★ WEAPONS

These 4-star alternatives don’t synergize fully with Zibai’s kit, like the 5-star ones obviously do, but they still give you useful and interesting stats to increase Zibai’s final damage.

The best performing teams are those with Columbina and Illuga, but you can opt for some of the teams below as long as you have Geo and Hydro units to trigger Lunar-Crystallize, then it’s up to you to choose the ones you feel best with, and that synergize most with your playstyle.

Keep in mind that characters with Moonsign can give Zibai an additional buff.

Normal Attack
Performs up to 4 rapid strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

݁ ۪࣪ ִֶָ☾ ˖𓂃ELEMENTAL SKILL: Heaven and Earth Made Manifest

Summoning a shadow of her former powers, she switches to the Lunar Phase Shift mode.
In this mode, Zibai’s Normal Attacks and Charged Attacks will deal Geo DMG that cannot be overridden by other infusions, and she can accrue special Phase Shift Radiance through different methods. Zibai can consume Phase Shift Radiance to unleash the special Elemental Skill Spirit Steed’s Stride.

Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam
While in the Lunar Phase Shift mode, when Zibai performs Normal Attacks, the fourth attack will deal an additional instance of Geo DMG, which is considered Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG.

Zibai operates the Jadelight Canopy, dealing two instances of Geo DMG, with the second damage instance being considered Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG.

݁ ۪࣪ ִֶָ☾ ˖𓂃PASSIVE TALENT

1. The Selenic Adeptus Descends: When casting the Elemental Skill Heaven and Earth Made Manifest, or when triggering Moondrift Harmony, Zibai gains the Moonfall effect for 4s: The DMG dealt by the 2nd hit of Spirit Steed’s Stride is increased by 60% of Zibai’s DEF.
2. Moonsign Benediction: The Coursing Sun and Moon: When a party member triggers a Hydro Crystallize reaction, it will be converted into the Lunar-Crystallize reaction, with every 100 DEF that Zibai has increasing Lunar-Crystallize’s Base DMG by 0.7%, up to a maximum of 14%.
   Additionally, when Zibai is in the party, the party’s Moonsign will increase by 1 level.
3. Layered Peaks Pierce the Clouds: Other Geo party members increase Zibai’s DEF by 15% each. Other Hydro party members increase her Elemental Mastery by 60 each.
4. Moonlit Flower Forest: At night (18:00 – 06:00), when not in combat, restore 1 Elemental Energy to Zibai every 2 seconds. This effect does not work in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss.

☽ CONSTELLATION

Zibai’s constellations, even the lowest ones, make her more fluid, solid, and performing, also increasing her final DMG on-field.

Our Adeptus is already performing and solid at C0, but investing in her constellations (even just the C1) will make her gameplay more fluid and impactful.
