Spiral Abyss is updated every 16th and for March 2026, new enemies are added to the end-game as we arrive to the new area, Nod-Krai. By entering the abyss, you will challenge your team build against various enemies and mechanism, striving to get full 12 stars.
However, not everyone will have an easy time to collect the stars as newer players may have difficulty in understanding the mechanism of some enemies, or their builds are not perfect yet. This guide will help players to understand the enemies in floor 11 and 12, while recommending some teams that you can try.

- All party members gain 60% Cryo DMG Bonus.
Team Recommendations
Team Recommendations for the First Half
✔️ There is a Monolith Defense stage here, so having an Anemo CC would be beneficial for you. Although not bringing one is fine either since the enemies are easy to group, or would just chase after you.
✔️ Pyro character is quite important here, because there are many enemies with Cryo shield. The next best element would be Electro.
⭕ Overload reaction is good, but remember that it can cause knockback on light enemies, like the Fatui Cryo Cicin Mages in chamber 2.
Team Recommendations for the Second Half
✔️ Although there is a Monolith Defense stage here, the enemies here are much easier to handle because it’s only Hydro Slime. And what do they have? Constant Hydro state. As long as you bring a character that can deal a reaction on Hydro– especially Cryo, Pyro, or Electro, this will be a walk in the park for you.
✔️ Make sure to bring at least one Pyro, Cryo, or Dendro character as you will need their element to remove the Electro shield on Abyss Lector in chamber 2.
✔️ Another important character is a sustain, especially a healer, to help remove the Radiant Cocoon debuff in chamber 3.
Chamber 1 – First Half

There is only one wave here, and its either Ice Shieldwall Mitachurl or Ice Shield Hilichurl Guard. Once you defeat any of them, the next one will spawn in another spot until all 24 enemies are out. All of the them will attack the Monolith, and this is where your Anemo CC comes in- to gather all of them in one spot and trigger aggro. However, as mentioned before, it’s quite easy to gather them. Once they spawn, they will almost always run towards the monolith, so if you stand nearby monolith, you can wait for the incoming enemies, and then trigger aggro on them.
Make sure to bring at least one Pyro character so you will have an easier time destroying the Cryo shields. Once the shields are gone, you can brute force these enemies since they’re not that tough in the first place.
Chamber 1 – Second Half

Similar to the first half, there is only one wave here, and it’s full of Large Hydro Slimes. When you start the challenge, three Slimes will spawn, and once you defeat any of them, the next one will spawn untill all 24 Hydro Slimes are defeated. All Slimes that were newly spawns will aim for the Monolith. Personally, I believe this is the easiest stage ever as if you bring elements like Pyro/Electro/Cryo, you can easily eradicate these Slimes.
Chamber 2 – First Half

In the first wave, there are two Fatui Cryo Cicin Mages. If you didn’t knockback/stagger them immediately with Anemo CC or other attack, there’s a high chance they will create a Cryo shield and summons a group of Cryo Cicin. Those Cicin will disrupt your DPS attack direction, which can be pretty annoying. Just in case, make sure to bring at least 1 Pyro or an Electro character so you can destroy those shields if the girls bring it out.
Note: If you use Overload reaction on them, they will get knockback when there are no shields. If the girls have shields, they won’t get thrown back.

In the second wave, there will be Fatui Skirmisher Cryogunner Legionnaire and Oprichniki Fireblade Shock Trooper. Weird combination, but at least it’s good for you since it won’t be Freeze reaction, but instead you’re gonna get hit with Melt if both of them attacks you at the same time. But among these two, definitely aim for the Cryogunner first as it will create a Cryo shield for himself, and his Freezing Spray attack will be enhanced.

Lastly in the third wave, we have the Eroding Avatar of Lava. Despite looking like that big ball of lava, it’s actually not immune nor having RES to Pyro. In fact, the mechanic wants Pyro attack so we can defeat it faster. The Fury bar above their HP will be filled when its attacked by a Pyro attack, it will gain a few percentage to fill the Fury bar. When the Fury bar reaches 20%, 40%, and 60%, it will take True Physical DMG equal to 25%, 20%, and 15% of its Max HP, respectively.
When the Fury bar is full, the Eroding Avatar of Lava is automatically defeated. Of course, if you don’t bring any Pyro character to take advantage of this, it’s also okay, but you have to brute force a little bit.
Chamber 2 – Second Half

There is only one Abyss Lector: Violet Lightning so you shouldn’t have too much trouble as you can only focus on this one enemy. Nothing much can be said here since brute force is the only way. The most important attacks you need to focus on avoiding are when it creates Electro Orbs, as when those orbs hit your character, it will drain 20 Energy from all party members. Then, when it has the Electro shield up, the best elements to delete the shield are Pyro, Cryo, and Dendro.
The fastest way to remove the shield is using Bennett’s Elemental Skill inside his own Elemental Burst, with 4-pc Thundering Fury. He will receive a massive cooldown from his 4th Ascension Passive (Elemental Skill’s CD is decreased by 50% inside his Elemental Burst). But I doubt anyone still uses this trick as you can just bring a whole team of Pyro/Cryo for Melt reaction in other chambers and use the elements to destroy the shield here.
Chamber 3 – First Half

In the first and second waves, there will be a Stonehide Lawachurl and Frostarm Lawachurl, respectively. The only reason they separate enemies into 3 waves here is definitely to waste your time. Anyway, watch their movement at first and try to save your Ultimate first because sometimes, the Lawachurl will lunge forward, making it easy for them to avoid your Ultimate, especially one that stuck in one a like Collei and Rosaria’s Ultimate (circle impact smh).

While for the third wave, we have a single Ruin Drake: Earthguard. Once spawn, it will either walk in your direction or back away from you. This is the enemy that you should aim for the weak point once it’s exposed. At one point, this Ruin Drake will charge before scattering bombs into the air. This is the moment you want to attack its weak point with any suitable attacks (or Bow character’s aimed shot).
If you fail to do so, after the bombs hit the ground, the Ruin Drake will gain 40% Resistance to the element it has received the most amount of damage from the beginning of the battle (you can see what elements it is from the color of the bombs).
Chamber 3 – Second Half

The first and only wave has only one enemy: Radiant Antelope. They can inflict debuff on your team called Radiant Cocoon. While a character is wrapped in a Radiant Cocoon, their CRIT Rate and Incoming Healing Bonus are both decreased by 10%. Once the character is healed to 100% HP, they will be released from the Cocoon and gain the Disentangled effect, increasing CRIT Rate by 15%. This is the reason a healer is recommended in the team, to restore the health and remove the debuff. But if your team doesn’t care about Crit, then it’s okay.

- First Half – Anemo DMG dealt by the active character is increased by 75%.
- Second Half – Characters’ Normal Attack Cryo DMG is increased by 75%.
Team Recommendations
Team Recommendations for the First Half

✔️ For the first half, it’s recommended to bring a single-target DPS as there is only one enemy per wave.
✔️ In addition, make sure to bring along at least one Anemo character and one Pyro/Electro character for the last boss.
⭕ That’s it, honestly. Aside from a single Anemo and Pyro/Electro, you’re free to bring other teammates. But don’t forget that there are Anemo DMG bonus so clearly Anemo DPS will be great here!
Team Recommendations for the Second Half

✔️ Similar to the first half, the second half wants a single-target DPS because there is also only one enemy per wave.
✔️ This chamber prefers Freeze reaction too much, especially on the last chamber with Overseer Device that really needs a Cryo character in the team. Another possible reaction is Overload, as Hiljetta requires either Freeze or Overload reaction to prevent her from using her armors.
✔️ Don’t forget a sustain, preferably a healer as you’ll need to remove the debuff from enemies in chamber 1 (Bond of Life and Radiant Cocoon).
Chamber 1 – First Half

In the first wave, a single Assault Specialist Mek – Ousia is here to waste your time. If you’re using Fontaine character, Pneuma-type character is beneficial here as it can trigger an Overload reaction and forcing the Meka to only use the low-end combat actions. Beware though, as one of its attacks (Slam) will make it perform a jumping slam with its shield, and this has a huge chance to knockback your character if not avoided.

Now for the second wave: Perpetual Mechanical Array. The best option is is a single-target Elemental DPS to obliterate this one. Remember that this boss has a 70% Physical Resistance.

Most of its attacks are really easy to dodge, so I believe you can handle it just fine. The one important thing to note is when the boss’ HP reaches below 50% (around 35-40% HP), it will enter Defensive Mode and summon four Ruin Sentinels: Scout, Defender, Destroyer, and Cruiser.

Attack only the highlighted Sentinel (even better if you can bait the highlighted Sentinel to get near the boss)! Do not attack any other because it will be a very waste of your time.

Once you defeat the highlighted Sentinel, the big boss will be paralyzed for around ~20 seconds and its RES will be reduced to -40% to all elements. This is the perfect time to use all your Skills and Bursts. When the boss recovers from the paralyzed state, it will become invincible for a few seconds before resetting its state and using its normal attack patterns again.
Chamber 1 – Second Half

In the first wave, there is a single Wind Operative. Most of her attacks are pretty predictable and easy to evade. The one mechanic you need to know is the Bond of Life. She will sacrifice some of her HP to initiate Hunt Down: Lock on you. If you get hit, you will receive a Bond of Life and be affected by Corrosion status.
The BoL will makes your characters lose HP slowly even if you have a shield. And if you get hit by this skill and stack the BoL, the more HP your characters will lose. Make sure to avoid the Hunt Down: Lock but if you did get attacked, make sure to heal your characters so the BoL will disappear.

For the second wave, we have Radiant Moonfly, and it has high Pyro and Dendro RES. But that’s not your only worries. The main attack of this monster is when it starts flying + ranged attacking you + giving you Radiant Cocoon debuff that reduce your Crit Rate and Damage. The debuff can be seen by the red icon above your HP bar.

To remove that debuff, you need to heal your character to the Max HP, so healer is extremely recommended, unless your team is not relying on Crit Rate (still recommend you to remove the debuff). You can brute force without removing the debuff, but know that it will take a lot of time because your Crit Rate will be 0 and the damage is reduced by half. On the bright side, if you remove the debuff, you will gain a buff that increases your damage!
Chamber 2 – First Half

There is only one wave here and its the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King. It has 70% Dendro RES, so try not to use Dendro DPS against this boss. This big boy mostly has a melee skill set, so try not to stray far away from it, unless you have a ranged DPS. If you do get too far away from it, the boss may use its tongue to swing itself to your location.

One of the two skills you need to be wary of is the Belly Spin (not an official name), where it will rapidly spin on top of its belly while approaching you. The damage itself is not astronomically high, but your character will be thrown back if you don’t have a shield set up beforehand.

Another skill set is when the Yumkasaur summons Flamegranates on the ground. What you need to do here is light up the Flamegranates with Pyro when you see them. It will explode on the floor if Yumkasaur doesn’t devour it in time, and it will explode inside the boss’ mouth if it manages to eat it beforehand. If all 3 Flamegranates explode, Kongamato will also be paralyzed for a longer period of time.
If you didn’t burn all Flamegranates in time and the boss managed to devour them, it would deal damage based on how many Flamegranates it ate. EX: If the Yumkasaur manages to eat 3, the first 2 will be used as ammo as it will spit the ignited Flamegranates, and the last one will be converted to an energy beam.
Chamber 2 – Second Half

The first wave features Oprichniki Thunderblitz Gvardiya. Truthfully, there is nothing special about this enemy and I believe you won’t have trouble dealing with her. In my opinion, she’s just here to stall you for the next wave.

Now the second wave is the real one, Battle-Hardened Elite Treasure Hoarder (or known as Hiljetta in the open-world). At one point, she will summon her battle armor on the field; you can see it from the line connecting her to the battle armor. You can trigger Frozen on Hiljetta or Overload reaction on the battle armor to prevent the armor from attaching to Hiljetta.
If the attachment is not interrupted, Hiljetta successfully equips the battle armor and enters the Armored State. She releases powerful enhanced charged punches for around 8 times. After the attack sequence ends, she will recharge every 30 seconds, further increasing attack power and doubling the number of punches. Once equipped, the armor pieces greatly enhance her attacks and cannot be removed by the player.
Chamber 3 – First Half

In the first and only wave, there is only one enemy: Battle-Hardened Radiant Glacial Wolf. It has a 50% Cryo RES and has the ability to gives your whole team a debuff called Radiant Cocoon. Right from the start of the battle, it will summon the Ancestral Wolf Spirit– it’s the phantom wolf with the Cryo shield. Pyro/Electro does NOT work on the phantom wolf; you need to implement Pyro/Electro on the real wolf, then trigger Swirl towards the clone.
The other dangerous element of this enemy is the ability to inflict Radiant Cocoon on your characters.
Chamber 3 – Second Half

There is only wave here with Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device. Look at the Flow Momentum circle beside the HP bar. When the boss enters the sweeper mode (goes to the middle and the Flow Momentum bar appears underneath the HP), it has EXTREMELY HIGH RES for all elements, and the water beams hit your characters, they will gain Flow Momentum points.
In addition, 2 points are accumulated every second. As Flow Momentum accumulates, the ability will be enhanced as follows:-
- 0–10: The beams are disabled. RES increase is inactive, and all RES is further reduced [0% RES to all elements & -40 Cryo RES] (AIM FOR THIS!)
- 10–30: Beam DMG is 20% ATK. Rotation speed is low. RES increase is active.
- 30–60: Beam DMG is 50% ATK. Rotation speed is moderate. RES increase is active.
- 60–120: Beam DMG is 100% ATK. Rotation speed is high. RES increase is active.
- 120–135: 2 additional beams are added. Beam DMG is 100% ATK. Rotation speed is very high. RES increase is active.
So, how to make the boss lose Flow Momentum? 4 points are lost every time the Automaton is hit by a Cryo attack. So, yes, whatever team you bring, make sure to bring a Cryo character! Once it has a lower than 10 Flow Momentum, spam everything you have while its RES is decreased.
