The newest entry to the legendary Pokémon franchise is coming in 2027. The dual-pack Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves just released its announcement trailer on YouTube:
The trailer confirms the new direction Pokémon is taking with an entirely new catalogue of Pokémon, starting with Browt (Grass), Pombom (Fire), Gecqua (Water). But, we did get a glimpse of the trainer catching a Pikachu in the wild, which is obviously an ode to Ash Ketchum (or simply Red) from Pokémon Yellow. Like always, both games will be simultaneously released in 2027, and more details will come out later about each game’s mascot.
