With a bit more than a month until its global release, Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties has dropped a Mine combat demo video on YouTube:

For those who don’t know, Yoshitaka Mine is the main antagonist of Yakuza 3. An orphaned successful businessman, Mine transitioned from the boardroom to crime by using Kanda and forming a bond with Daigo.

Mine isn’t a truly evil person, but sees humans as nothing more than stepping stones who will all betray one another to get what they want. It’s how he was treated as an orphan, and he naturally conflicts with Kiryu’s sense of belonging at an orphanage and his worldview. Not only is his personality different from Kiryu’s, but his fighting style is, too.

Mine is incredibly fluid in this gameplay and more of an acrobat, unlike Kiryu. He has some sweet takedowns and some unique hang-time where he parries, catches the enemy off guard, and delivers a massive finishing blow. His Heat attacks are going to be legendary.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties will launch on February 12, 2026. You can pre-order now on PlayStation 4|5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

That means this whole thing was his idea, and he spends his time making stuff work and covering the latest anime and games. When he's not doing 100 things at once, he's usually... watching anime or playing games. His life isn't that interesting, honestly.
