Square Enix has revealed a new trailer for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, an upcoming action RPG from the team behind Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler.

The game is set to release in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

A demo is already live, and Square Enix is running a survey to gather player feedback. If you want to get a taste of the combat and world, now’s the time to try it out.

The story takes place in Philabieldia, a continent overtaken by beast tribes. Only the Kingdom of Huther remains safe thanks to a powerful spell. Elliot, the main adventurer, and his fairy companion Faie set out beyond the kingdom walls to explore ruins and uncover the truth.

Gameplay leans into variety. Elliot can wield seven different weapon types, including swords, bows, chains, and sickles. Faie supports him with Fairy Actions, and in co-op mode, a second player can take direct control of her.

The game uses the familiar HD-2D art style that Square Enix has made iconic. With its lineage tied to Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler, expectations are already high.

Here’s the breakdown:
