Spiral Abyss is updated every 16th and for January 2026, new enemies are added to the end-game as we arrive to the new area, Nod-Krai. By entering the abyss, you will challenge your team build against various enemies and mechanism, striving to get full 12 stars.
However, not everyone will have an easy time to collect the stars as newer players may have difficulty in understanding the mechanism of some enemies, or their builds are not perfect yet. This guide will help players to understand the enemies in floor 11 and 12, while recommending some teams that you can try.

Team Recommendations
Team Recommendations for the First Half
There is no Monolith Defense stage here, in addition to every single wave only feature one enemy. Thus, single-target DPS is recommended here. Any elements and reactions are fine, except for Physical as most enemies here have high Physical RES. In addition, a bow-user may be beneficial if you want to aim at the weak spot of Ruin Drake and Ruin Grader.
Team Recommendations for the Second Half
The second half is recommended for Electro-Charge or Lunar-Charge reaction because of the Landcruiser and the Wilderness Exiles. Yes, there is a Water-Splitting Phantasm that is immune to Hydro, but that means it’s easier to trigger the Electro/Lunar-Charge reaction with an Electro DPS. However, note that the first and second chambers have multiple enemies per wave, so it’s best if you bring an Anemo CC to help you gather them or at least inflict reactions much easier.
Chamber 1 – First Half

In the first and second wave, there will be one Eremite Stone Enchanter. as with any other elite Eremite in Abyss, he will enter enhanced mode + summon his beast from the start so you can’t Anemo CC him. When the respective spirit animal is defeated, the enhanced state will end, and the Eremite will become stunned for 10 seconds with decreased Geo RES. They can only enter their enhanced state once. So yes, try to defeat the beast first if you think the RES is too high for your character.
Chamber 1 – Second Half

There is only one wave here, and it’s Cutting Edge All-Purpose Storm Landcruiser & Scout Landcruiser. Both of them are pretty common enemy, but they have one thing similar: absorbing Kuuvahki and use a special attack.

For Storm Landcruiser, it will fire a long continuous barrage for 10 seconds. The Scout Landcruiser can do the same, but with the addition of a shield in front of it. You can interrupt the attack and paralyze the Landcruiser for 2 seconds after triggering Electro-Charged or Lunar-Charged 6 times.
Chamber 2 – First Half

In the first and second wave, there is 1 Ruin Drake: Earthguard that will either walk in your direction or back away from you. This is the enemy that you should aim for the weak point once it’s exposed. At one point, this Ruin Drake will charge before scattering bombs into the air. This is the moment you want to attack its weak point with any suitable attacks (or Bow character’s aimed shot).

If you fail to do so, after the bombs hit the ground, the Ruin Drake will gain 40% Resistance to the element it has received the most amount of damage from the beginning of the battle (you can see what elements it is from the color of the bombs). You don’t want this to happen because of the limited amount of time left in addition to the second wave with also the same enemy.
Chamber 2 – Second Half

There is one wave here and each time you defeat a Wilderness Exiles, the next one will appear (maximum 3 Wilderness Exiles on the field). It’s best if you bring along an Anemo CC so you can gather them in one place. These enemies are unique as they will not die when their HP reaches 0. Instead, they will enter a Grief-Stricken state. In this state, these enemies will be able to take further DMG that depletes its Max HP instead of its current HP.

Depleted Max HP is indicated by a gray bar that fills from the right. When the Exile’s Max HP reaches 0, it will be defeated. The best strategy here is to bring Nod-Krai characters as their abilities enhanced by Ascendant Gleam will deal direct damage towards the HP and immediately increase gray bar (don’t have to wait until its HP reaches 0).
Chamber 3 – First Half

There is three waves here but each of them feature the same enemy: 1 Ruin Grader. They have far more skill sets than Ruin Guard including the spinning one. While performing certain attacks, the Ruin Grader will expose the cores on its head and feet.

Attacking one of the exposed weak points will interrupt the Ruin Grader’s current attack. Successfully damaging the second weak point will temporarily paralyze the Ruin Grader for a few seconds.
Should you aim for the weak points? Yes and no. If you have lots of remaining time, you can try to paralyze it so you can have an easier time dealing with all sorts of damage. Use a Bow character’s aimed shot for better accuracy and a higher chance to aim at the cores. But if you don’t have much time, it’s better to just brute force.
Chamber 3 – Second Half

Do not bring a Hydro Main DPS to the battle. A Hydro Sub-DPS or Support is fine, but not Main DPS. It will significantly slow you down because the Water-Splitting Phantasm is immune to Hydro. But there is only one enemy here so once it spawns, focus all your firepower to this enemy and you should be fine. They will enter Enraged State from the start and will stay that way permanently. In this state, their attacks will be enhanced and become immune to being Frozen.

- Second Half – Lunar Reaction DMG is increased by 75%.
Team Recommendations
Team Recommendations for the First Half

For the first half, it’s recommended to bring a single-target DPS because there is only one enemy in each wave. In addition, it’s best if the DPS deals Charged DMG like Neuvillette or Nefer.
Because of the Wayob, it’s best if the team does not fully depends on the Burst because you’ll be missing Energies when it arrives because of the Area it summons. While for the Radiant enemies, you’d want a healer to remove the debuff it applies to your team.
Team Recommendations for the Second Half

The second half also wants a single-target DPS because there is at most, 2 enemies per wave. But the most important thing is bringing an Electro+Hydro duo. One, because of the mechanics of two bosses (Battle-Hardened Pipilpan Idol and Knuckle Duckle) here who absolutely wants Electro-Charge or Lunar-Charge. Two, because of the Lunar-Reaction Bonus from the Ley-Line – if you bring Lunar-Charge reaction team.
Chamber 1 – First Half

There is only one wave here: Perpetual Mechanical Array. The best option is is a single-target Elemental DPS to obliterate this one. Remember that this boss has a 70% Physical Resistance.

Most of its attacks are really easy to dodge, so I believe you can handle it just fine. The one important thing to note is when the boss’ HP reaches below 50% (around 35-40% HP), it will enter Defensive Mode and summon four Ruin Sentinels: Scout, Defender, Destroyer, and Cruiser.

Attack only the highlighted Sentinel (even better if you can bait the highlighted Sentinel to get near the boss)! Do not attack any other because it will be a very waste of your time.

Once you defeat the highlighted Sentinel, the big boss will be paralyzed for around ~20 seconds and its RES will be reduced to -40% to all elements. This is the perfect time to use all your Skills and Bursts. When the boss recovers from the paralyzed state, it will become invincible for a few seconds before resetting its state and using its normal attack patterns again.
Chamber 1 – Second Half

The first wave features 2 Wilderness Exiles.

For the second wave, you will face with Local Legend ‘Battle-Hardened Lightkeeper.’ In the first phase, the attack that you need to be wary of is Demonsbane Strike (the Keqing-Ultimate lookalike). Once you see the AoE mark on the ground, it’s best to get out of the area immediately. The damage is one thing, but what’s bad is how each of those slashes can knockback your characters – like if you avoid one of the slash, you won’t be able to avoid the next one and it will knock your character back.

Once reaching 0 health, Sigurd will enter a Grief-Stricken state. In this state, he does not attack and you can attack him freely in order to fill the Grief-Stricken bar. After a few seconds, he will restore HP equal to the amount not covered by the gray bar.

In the second phase, the attacks you need to take care of are when he summons 4 Wilderness Exiles. If you did not defeat the mobs within a certain time, Sigurd’s lantern will glow and will absorb the Exiles to deal an explosion. If you’re too near him at this time, the explosion may kill your character because it deals a lot of damage. In addition, absorbing the mobs will also remove the progress from the Grief-Stricken bar.
Chamber 2 – First Half

The first wave will spawn a Construction Specialist Mek. It’s just like any other mobs, but you can weaken it by using Pneuma attacks (as this enemy is Ousia type). One of the dangerous attack it has is the spinning Pyro attacks as it can knockback your characters, so having a shield is a good option. Note that in this wave, try to save your Energy for the next wave.

The second and third wave features a single Wayob Manifestation. Once you see the Wayob spawns, immediately use every Elemental Burst you have, especially one with a long duration like Xingqiu or Collei, etc so their damages can hurt the incoming shield. Around ~5 seconds after the Wayob spawns, it will create an arena and gain a non-elemental shield.

Characters within the arena will lose all Energy and cannot gain Energy (this is why you ned to use all your Burst immediately). If the Arena’s duration ends and the shield is not destroyed, the Wayob Manifestation causes an explosion around itself and converts the remaining percentage of its shield to a Electro elemental shield.

But if you manage to destroy that non-elemental shield, you will gain a lot of Elemental Energy that all your characters’ Burst will be up! So make sure to destroy the shield as fast as you can.
Chamber 2 – Second Half

In the first and only wave, you will be facing a Pipilpan Idol. If you’ve already fight it in the open world as Local Legend, you know it likes Electro/Lunar Charged the most as those reactions can fill its bar when transforming to Mirage Hats.

Speaking of Mirage Hats, it will turn to these hats immediately after it spawn and gain a Ward shield. Before the cactus turns into hats, watch its real body so you can see which hats it transform into. Once you spot the real cactus inside a hat, focus on it until it stop swapping (usually 3-5 spins).
But if you somehow missed the real hat, there are two methods you can use to track down the real one:
1) Its face is imprinted on the hat
2) It leaves behind a golden circle and it always attacks last in the Hat Slam sequence

Once it stop spinning, you can see the Fury bar on top of the hat. This bar will take 300% DMG bonus if its hit by Electro-Charged or Lunar-Charged reactions. This is why these teams are the best for this chamber! Whenever the Fury bar is fully filled, it will destroy 20-25% of the Ward’s shield bar.

Once the Ward is completely broken, the boss will turn back to its normal cactus form, be paralyzed for around 15 seconds with significantly reduced RES, so this is the time for you to spam everything you have and destroy its HP bar. In addition, the boss will also take True Physical DMG based on the amount of Hydro, Electro, Electro-Charged, and Lunar-Charged DMG dealt to the hat.
Keep in mind that if you didn’t destroy these hats in time, the boss will unleash a massive shockwave and deal a huge Electro damage. If your character’s HP are low, there’s a chance to be one-shotted.
Chamber 3 – First Half

The first and second waves feature different enemies: Radiant Antelope in the first wave, and Radiant Glacial Wolf. But they’re both have similar dangerous mechanic: They can inflict debuff on your team called Radiant Cocoon.

While a character is wrapped in a Radiant Cocoon, their CRIT Rate and Incoming Healing Bonus are both decreased by 10%. Once the character is healed to 100% HP, they will be released from the Cocoon and gain the Disentangled effect, increasing CRIT Rate by 15%. This is the reason a healer is recommended in the team, to restore the health and remove the debuff. But if your team doesn’t care about Crit, then it’s okay.
Chamber 3 – Second Half

There is only one enemy here and it is Knuckle Duckle. While it does not have any Elemental RES, this boss extremely prefers if you have an Electro-Charge or Lunar-Charge in the team. The reason is because of its Duckstruction Mode.

Once in said mode, it will summon many small duckies named Stamping Devices. See those small icon above their HP bar, you can fill it by using Electro-Charged or Lunar-Charged reactions to fill this bar and make it malfunction so it will attack the Knuckle-Duckle. If you don’t have this reaction, normal brute force can also destroy these duckies, but it will obviously take much longer than the favored reactions.
One last thing, you may want to bring a single Anemo CC so you can group these ducks in one spot before throwing any elemental reactions on them!
