A new teaser for for the anime series, My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 has officially dropped on YouTube, giving fans a fresh look at Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojo’s return.

Released on Aniplex’s official channel, the teaser runs just under a minute and doesn’t reveal much about the plot. But it does confirm one thing: Season 2 is real, it’s in production, and it’s bringing the same lovable energy fans fell for in Season 1.

What Is My Dress-Up Darling About?

My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru) is a romantic comedy anime that originally aired in 2022. It follows Wakana Gojo, a shy high school student who dreams of becoming a hina doll craftsman, and Marin Kitagawa, a popular girl who’s secretly obsessed with cosplay.

After Marin discovers Gojo’s sewing skills, she ropes him into making her costumes. The two develop a close friendship — and a growing romantic tension — as they explore the world of cosplay together.

The series became an instant hit thanks to its heartfelt moments, detailed animation, and Marin’s larger-than-life personality. Season 1 was produced by CloverWorks and adapted from the manga by Shinichi Fukuda.

What’s in the Season 2 Teaser?

The teaser doesn’t give away much, but it shows new visuals of Marin and Gojo, with her trying to feed him pocky sticks and confirming their continued partnership.

Given the manga’s ongoing popularity and how much source material is left, there’s plenty of story still to cover.
