Wistoria: Wand and Sword is officially coming back for its second season this April, according to the newly released main visual and official trailer
The central city of ReGarden is bustling with activity as it celebrates the New Year with the “Terminaria Festival.” A horde of monsters attacks as the great barrier is replaced. Will fighting the horde of monsters with his sword, along with other magic-wielding mages.
What is the only magic that the “incompetent” Will can use, as muttered while embracing the battered Workner?
And will Will, who takes up his sword with Finn’s words, be able to protect what is important to him?
The reason I’m so hyped for this anime is the incredible “underdog vs the whole world” dynamic. In a world where “magic is everything”, watching Will prove that determination and a sword can surpass even the greatest spells is incredibly empowering. The animation in the first season was top-tier, and seeing Will’s resolve to protect what is precious to him makes every battle feel personal.
As for what’s coming in Season 2, it looks like we are heading straight into the “Boundary Festival” (Terminaria) in the capital of Regarden. The stakes are higher than ever because the replacement of the Great Barrier triggers a massive monster invasion.
This second season is scheduled to begin broadcasting on April 12 at 4:30 PM on 28 TBS-affiliated stations. If you need to catch up, a special recap episode will air the week prior on April 5. Streaming will also be available on various platforms starting at 5:30 PM following the broadcast.
