Jahoda is the new 4-star Anemo character in Genshin Impact, released in version Luna III. One could already expect what a 4-star Anemo can do; Jahoda has the ability of off-field healing, Elemental Absorption, and Elemental Application capabilities. And one of the most important effect: she can increase Moonsign by 1, which is important for many Nod-Krai characters. Let’s see how to build her correctly in Genshin Impact.

Jahoda Kit & Overview

Elemental Skill

As a support character, Skill and Burst are all Jahoda needs and what you need to learn to play her. Let’s go over her Skill first.

When using Jahoda’s Elemental Skill, she will dash forward and enter the Shadow Pursuit state upon contact with an enemy. If the enemy is affected by any Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo element, Jahoda will gradually fill her Purr-loined Treasure Flask to that element. When the flask is full, Jahoda will exit the Shadow Pursuit state, empty the flask and deal Anemo DMG to nearby opponent.

If her Skill dash FAILS to make contact with an enemy: She will drops a Smoke Bomb at her position, dealing a single instance of Anemo DMG to nearby opponent.

See that cat face on the enemy? That’s the Fluffy Meowballs attacked by the flask.

MOONSIGN: ASCENDANT GLEAM (If you have 2 Nod-Krai characters in the team)
When Purr-loined Treasure Flask becomes full with another element, instead of immediately emptying it like mentioned before, Jahoda will steadily consumes the stored element inside and periodically fires Fluffy Meowballs at nearby opponents, dealing DMG of the corresponding element stored in the flask.

TLDR

Her Skill is only useful if you’re near an enemy to fill the Purr-loined Treasure Flask and said enemy has PHEC (Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo) element on them. Once the flask is full, the aftermath depending on your Moonsign. If you do not have Ascendant Gleam, Jahoda will immediately empty the flask and deal Anemo DMG. But if you have Ascendant Gleam, she will periodically deal the absorbed element even while off-field.

Elemental Burst

You can’t really see from everything on the screen, but I marked the healing provided by Jahoda’s Burst above

Now for the Elemental Burst. Jahoda will summon 2 Purrsonal Coordinated Assistance Robots and deal Anemo DMG to nearby opponents. Those robots will continuously restore HP to the active character. If the active character has above 70% HP, they will then restore HP to the character in the party with the lowest HP.

MOONSIGN: ASCENDANT GLEAM (If you have 2 Nod-Krai characters in the team)
When using Jahoda’s Burst, if there are enemies affected by PHEC, the robots will convert to that element. If there are many enemies with multiple elements, the priority order is Pyro > Hydro > Electro > Cryo. After converting, the robots will periodically attack the nearby opponents, dealing damage of the corresponding elements.

TLDR

Jahoda’s Burst will summon 2 robots, and these robots will heal your active character. If your active character has 70% HP, the robots will then heal the lowest HP character in the team. The next effect is only possible if you have Ascendant Gleam. The robots will convert to the PHEC element that the nearby opponent has, and will fire the converted element to the nearby opponents.

Ascension Talent

This is an important buff from Jahoda. When the Purrsonal Coordinated Assistance Robot from Elemental Burst heal the active character that has above 70% HP, said character will obtain 100 Elemental Mastery for 6 seconds.

Constellation 6 Effect

Another notable buff from Jahoda is on her Constellation 6 (not everyone can get this, but it’s worth understanding the effect)! After fully filling the Purr-loined Treasure Flask from Elemental Skill, all Nod-Krai characters in her team will gain 5% Crit Rate and 40% Crit DMG for 20 seconds.
Note that this is only available for Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam!

“Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” increases Elemental Mastery by 100~200 and increases ATK by 20~40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s.

Jahoda Synergy & Team Compositions

Currently in version Luna III, there are not too many teams for Jahoda because of how long her Skill takes time on-field (around 5 seconds to fill the flask). But one thing for sure, her C6 definitely prefers to be with a Nod-Krai DPS as only them can take advantage of the free Crit Rate and Crit DMG.

Lunar-Bloom Team

Let’s first talk about the staff and the boss of the Curatorium of Secrets. Nefer’s rotation is normally short, so she also prefers teammate with short cooldown and don’t take too much time on the field. Jahoda is… literally the opposite of what Nefer wants because the former takes at least 5 seconds on the field and her Skill cooldown is also a bit long (15 seconds).

But you can still work it out by having a 5-star character like Furina or Yelan so their 2 seconds Ultimate animation can prolong the rotation so both Jahoda and the Hydro character’s Skill and Burst cooldown will end by the next rotation. You can see the example and rotation in the video above.

Lunar-Charged Team

Flins main should know by now that he also prefer shorter rotation, so Ineffa – Aino – Sucrose was the go-to teams in the previous version. Now with the appearance of Jahoda, you can slot her in Flins team replacing Sucrose, but by changing Aino to another non-Nod Krai character like Yelan so you can still get the Lunar DMG Bonus from the Ascendant Gleam.

Another Lunar-Charged team would be Neuvillette and Furina. Since Jahoda can heal the team, she is especially good to be paired with Furina, especially in Neuvillette team where we can stack Furina’s Fanfare stack easily. The last slot is best given to Ineffa to able the Ascendant Gleam effect for both of the Nod-Krai characters!

Overvape Team

Last but not least, an Overvape team. Once again, Jahoda and Furina is a great pair. Ineffa for Ascendant Gleam and the off-field Electro application. While Hu Tao is the Pyro DPS to trigger Vaporize and Overload! Among many Pyro DPS, Hu Tao is chosen here because Furina’s drain HP mechanism is beneficial for her, unlike other Pyro DPS.

Jahoda Talent Priority

Burst > Skill > Normal ATK

Jahoda’s kit revolves around her off-field application from Skill, and healing from Burst. You absolutely don’t need to upgrade her Normal ATK unless you want to use it for unknown reasons.
