There are many end-games in Honkai: Star Rail, but the first and most famous one would be Memory of Chaos, where players tried to complete the last stage will shorter cycles as possible. Another refresh hit the MoC for version 3.7, featuring bosses with Quantum and Physical weaknesses (among many others). This guide will help you understand the mechanics for the enemies in the current Memory of Chaos, and the best team to bring in the challenge in Honkai: Star Rail!

Memory of Chaos Floor 11 Guide

First Half

Mechanic Analysis & Guide

In the first wave, there are two enemies. However, the Lady of Crashing Waves can summon “Servant of Tides”, making it harder for single-target DPSes to perform. Thus, ensure to bring a DPS that can deal AoE or Blast damage.

The first elite enemy is Black Tide’s Champion. Its kit is not too overcomplicated. Its attack can inflict Corrosion on targets, and if the Corrosion is dispelled by healing, this enemy will obtain Renewal aka increasing the damage of its next attack. Sounds dangerous, but Corrosion on your allies is far more dangerous so ignore it and make sure your sustain is doing their job protecting the team.
Another one is making itself and one designated target (and summon) to enter the Duel state – prioritizing target with the most buffs in team. All you have to do is make sure your main DPS has the most buff, get selected as the target for Duel, and attack the enemy afterwards.

The second elite enemy Lady of Crashing Waves, and its summon Servant of Tides. The elite one can reduce DEF and All-Type RES of the entire team, making your team takes more damage. Each of this enemy has a talent where it will advance action after taking certain number of attacks. While it’s bad since the enemies can attack more, you also have some benefits such as those attacks bringing some Energy for your units and if you’re using DOT teams, the enemies will take DOT damage everytime they advance actions. Lastly is their ability to inflict a special DOT on your teams, which can be removed by healing your characters till their HP is fully restored.
Remember that once you defeat the elite enemy, the mobs summoned by the elite will automatically be defeated as well.

In the second wave, you will face Gepard and Lady of Crashing Waves. Since we already go over the manta ray, let’s focus on Gepard. Just like his playable counterpart, this Gepard can also create a shield for its allies. The Barrier can nullifies all damage received except for DOT for one time. Pay attention to when the shield is created, and do not use your Ultimate or any important damage dealing skill until the shield is removed by other non-important attacks.
Evil Gepard can also summons Silvermane Gunners or Silvermane Cannoneers, but this will mostly be done in the 4th attack of his Action Order. If you bring a strong teams, most probably Gepard will be defeated before he can even summon anyone.

Team Recommendations

The weaknesses for the first half is Lightning and Physical. In addition, DOT teams will be the best here since Lady of Crashing Waves are made for this kind of teams.

Second Half

Mechanic Analysis & Guide

The first wave featured two of the oldest enemies in Honkai: Star Rail, so I believe many had already encountered them. Disciple of Sanctus Medicus: Shape Shifter can summon Mara Struck Soldiers. With those summons (on the field and having Rebirth), this elite enemy will have Draining Hit – restoring HP whenever they hit your characters. To remove it, you need to defeat the summoned Mara Struck Soldiers once to remove the Rebirth status.

While the Malefic Ape will mark a random target at first, and change the target for whoever uses their Skill next. When it’s their turn, the Ape will deal huge damage to the Monitored target. The damage is quite impressive, but if you’re bringing along a sustain character, this should not pose a threat. However, please choose your next character who uses Skill wisely. After all, if your character has low HP and uses Skill, being targeted by the Ape and slammed by it will probably kill you.

In the second wave, we have Zandar. Like many other enemies, this one also loves to summon mobs. However, what unique is that Zandar has 2 different forms. And the mobs summoned by him will be different depending on what form he is now.

In Form 1, he will summons Furiae Warrior, and when certain conditions are met (such as minions or Memosprites being summoned a certain number of times), it will switch mode to Form 2. Beware that Zandar can heal its summon, increase their damage, and advance their actions.

One of the move convenient Zandar’s attack is when he inflict Antinomy to a selected target. The target will immediately takes action and have full Energy to trigger Ultimate. However, using the Ultimate given by Zandar will cause themselves to take some damage. It’s very tempting to use, but make sure you have a healer that can immediately said character before they are attacked.

In Form 2, the mobs summoned will be Tide-Eroded Blade and Black Tide’s Corroded Axe. Furthermore, Zandar will continuously summons minions (new ones will appears once the old ones are defeated), which act immediately. Once you manage to defeat 10 of the minions, he will use his Ultimate move, and goes back to Form 1. So what you need to do is keep defeating the mobs and make sure the team’s health are in tip-top shape to tank the damage from Zandar’s Ultimate attack.

Team Recommendations

The weaknesses for the second half are Wind and Ice. It’s recommended to bring a DPS that can deal AoE damage. In addition, if you’re bringing a lower investment team, you might want to bring 2 sustain to avoid casuality.

Memory of Chaos Floor 12 Guide

First Half

Mechanic Analysis & Guide

In the first wave, there are two elite bosses. The first one is The Ascended, and one of the oldest enemy in Honkai: Star Rail. She can deal Wind DOT while also having an ability to make targets afflicted with Prana-Siphon. Said debuff will reduce the target’s Max HP unless you remove the debuff with a healer that can cleanse.

The next elite enemy is Cyclonic Swarm Mother. With certain skill, this elite can summons Mirage Fizzle Kid. Aside from the summoning, these enemies work almost the same as Lady of Crashing Waves in Floor 11 as they will advances action after taking a certain number of attacks. Not needed to be said but you know to always focus on the mobs so the damage accumulated won’t be too much for your team to handle.

The second wave features Stellaron Hunter: SAM alone. This boss locks the weaknesses upon entry as you see in the image above. In SAM’s second turn, they will enter the Secondary Combustion state: dispel its own Weakness Protected effect, gain 5 Molten Energy stacks, and their skills consume their HP.

In the same state, your Skill Points will become Combusted Skill Points. When using these Skill Points, your character will lose some HP. If you didn’t remove Sam’s 5 stacks of Molten Energy, in Sam’s next turn, they will use the Ultimate skill that deals AoE Fire DMG.
You can remove those stacks by using Skill Points to deal damage to SAM(If you use Skill that does not attack SAM, it will not reduce the Molten Energy stack).
Note: If you manage to reduce the Molten Energy stacks, Sam will get out from the Secondary Combustion state, get a Weakness Break, and your Skill Points will be normal again + all your Skill Points will be recovered.

Your characters will receive less (extremely less) incoming healing when SAM’s in the Secondary Combustion state. However! This does not include Fu Xuan’s Talent [Bleak Breeds Bliss] where she will heal herself when below 50% HP. She will still get the maximum HP she can get, and it will not be affected by SAM’s Combustion state.

Team Recommendations

The weaknesses for the first half are Quantum and Lightning, with Lightning being the best element to bring as all enemies have Lightning weakness.

Second Half

Mechanic Analysis & Guide

In the first wave, there are two elite enemies: Noontide Gryphon and Ichor Memosprite: Winged Serpent.

Noontide Gryphon can summons enemies (Meteoric Eagle) while inflicting Aquila’s Mark to targets. You should remove the debuff by defeating any enemies on the field, preferably the mobs. If your characters possess 2 stacks of Aquila’s Mark, they will take Fire DMG and loses Energy.

Ichor Memosprite: Winged Serpent is not too special. It can enter the Charging state and gains Whirl. If your character attacks this enemy, it will counter by consuming the Whirl. Do this until all Whirl stack reaches 0 to dispel the Charging state.

In the second and last wave, there is Hoolay and his minions. These wolves can enter the Moon Rage state, accumulating Irate to deal massive single-target DMG. In this stage, Hoolay’s SPD increases massively, and you can find your characters don’t even have the time to hit him. You can reduce Irate stacks by attacking frequently – meaning Follow-Up Attack is quite favored here. You can also force Hoolay to leave the Moon Rage state by Weakness Breaking him.

Team Recommendations

The weaknesses for the second half are Fire and Physical. Many type of teams can be brought here such as the usual Hypercarry DPS, Break team, AoE team.
