HoYoverse officially unveiled Honkai: Nexus Anima, their brand-new creature collector adventure strategy game.
Honkai: Nexus Anima brings a fresh twist to the Honkai universe, combining monster collecting with turn-based strategy and immersive world exploration.
The official site describes it as a game where you recruit and bond with a variety of powerful creatures, train them, and use their abilities in tactical battles as you uncover the mysteries of a shattered world.
From the first look, it feels like HoYoverse is going after that “collect, train, and fight” loop while still layering in the high production values and narrative hooks the studio is known for.
Honestly, this game looks a lot like Pokemon to me. Maybe Animal Crossing, too.
It’s already opened global pre-registrations, and interest is ramping up quickly. HoYoverse promises console-quality visuals, detailed creature designs, and a strategy system that rewards creative thinking rather than just brute force.
The designs are very good, by the way.

And look at the characters, too:
If you’re interested in pre-registering, you can do so right now on the official site.
They recently advertised recruitment for the Honkai: Nexus Anima “Nexus Bond Test”, but it looks like Hoyoverse has everyone they need for some beta testing (sadly, I wasn’t chosen)

We’re going to keep tracking updates on Honkai: Nexus Anima all the way through global launch. Stay tuned for more details, trailers, and gameplay breakdowns.

Dante is Editor-in-Chief (Lord Hokage), which means he runs editorial and operations at BrandAnime. That means this whole thing was his idea, and he spends his time making stuff work and covering the latest anime and games. When he's not doing 100 things at once, he's usually... watching anime or playing games. His life isn't that interesting, honestly.
