The newest entry in the illustrious action RPG series, .hack//Z.E.R.O., has been announced via teaser trailer from CyberConnect2.
.hack//Z.E.R.O. will be released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the series. Traditionally, CyberConnect2 has developed the games, which were then published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. With this entry, CyberConnect2 has received special permission to handle both duties.
The .hack series (pronounced “dot hack”) is centered around the massively multiplayer online role-playing game called The World. Each entry is set after a global internet disaster and follows the stories of characters both traversing the The World and the real world as strange phenomena may be linking both worlds together.
No details have been released about an expected release window, so stay tuned for more updates on the official website and BrandAnime.
