This update brings a slew of new characters, banners, and events, making it one of the most anticipated updates for 2025. Players can look forward to fresh faces, powerful new weapons, and thrilling in-game events.

New Characters Introduced

  • Varesa: A 5-star Electro Catalyst user who specializes in Plunging Attacks and Elemental Reactions. Her unique ability to enter the Fiery Passion state significantly boosts her damage output, making her a must-have for players focused on reaction-based damage.
  • Iansan: A 4-star Electro Polearm character from the Teteocan tribe, renowned for her agility and fitness expertise. Iansan is perfect for quick, mobile playstyles that focus on Electro-based reactions.

Banners and Featured Characters

Version 5.5 is divided into two phases, each offering players exciting new characters and weapons.

  • Phase 1 (March 26 – April 15, 2025):
    • The character banners feature Varesa and Xianyun.
    • Iansan and other popular 4-star characters will also be featured.
    • The Weapon Banner introduces Varesa’s signature weapon, along with some powerful 4-star choices for all characters.
  • Phase 2 (April 15 – May 6, 2025):
    • This phase sees the return of Venti alongside Xilonen, a new 5-star Geo Sword character.
    • The Weapon Banner includes Elegy for the End and other exciting choices for supporting your new characters.

Upcoming Events

  • Imaginarium Theater:
    • Season 1 (April 1 – April 30, 2025) will feature characters like Yoimiya, Thoma, and Beidou.
    • Season 2 (May 1 – May 31, 2025) brings new faces like Kamisato Ayaka, Albedo, and Sucrose, ensuring plenty of content for players to enjoy during the next few months.
  • New Map Expansion:
    • The update also introduces a new map area, the Great Volcano of Tollan, where players can explore a sacred city and multi-tiered volcanic regions. This addition adds to the exploration aspect of the game, allowing for more adventure in Teyvat.
