With the Holy Lyre der Himmel revealed as the key to calming Stormterror (Dvalin), the Traveler and Venti head to Mondstadt Cathedral to borrow the sacred instrument. However, simply walking in and asking for it may not be enough.

“Venti’s Plan” is the fifth quest in Prologue: Act II – For a Tomorrow Without Tears, where the group attempts a diplomatic approach to retrieving the Lyre—only to be met with resistance.

Walkthrough

1. Meet Venti at Mondstadt Cathedral

After completing Let the Wind Lead, head to Mondstadt Cathedral, where Venti is waiting outside.

✔ If you haven’t already, unlock the teleport waypoint near the Cathedral for faster travel.

Upon arriving, Venti enthusiastically reveals his plan—to simply walk in and ask for the Holy Lyre. Paimon, naturally, is skeptical of this approach, questioning whether Mondstadt’s Church will be so willing to hand over such a sacred artifact.

Despite Paimon’s doubts, Venti insists that a bard’s charm and persuasion can go a long way.

2. Follow Venti Inside the Cathedral

Once Venti leads you inside, you’ll meet Sister Gotelinde, who oversees the Cathedral’s relics. A cutscene will play where Venti politely requests to borrow the Holy Lyre.

✔ Dialogue Choice: You can respond to Venti’s confidence with either skepticism or amusement, but it won’t affect the outcome.

3. Attempt to Borrow the Holy Lyre

Sister Gotelinde immediately refuses the request, explaining that:

✔ The Holy Lyre is an irreplaceable sacred relic, and only officially sanctioned members of the Church may access it.
✔ The Knights of Favonius have placed strict security on the Lyre, meaning even Jean would need formal approval to use it.
✔ The recent chaos caused by Stormterror has increased security, making it even more unlikely that outsiders would be given access.

Venti tries to charm his way into convincing the Sister, but she remains unmoved.

Paimon, unimpressed with the plan, quickly points out how easily Venti failed.

✔ Dialogue Choice: You can tease Venti about his lack of persuasiveness or express concern over what to do next.

4. Plan the Next Step

With the Church denying access to the Holy Lyre, Venti suggests finding an alternative solution. Paimon is wary of what he means, but Venti doesn’t immediately reveal his next move.

At this point, the quest concludes, and the next Archon Quest, Venti’s New Plan, begins—where the group will attempt a more unconventional method to obtain the Lyre.
