During February’s PlayStation State of Play showcase, Adglobe’s Brigandine Abyss revealed its 2026 launch date in a teaser trailer:
Play as one of six factions to confront the Abyssloa Empire. Command your troops, develop your bases, and take control of the continent of Meltitea in this tactical strategy RPG!
The development team for this project has some impressive chops. Just check out their industry credits:
- Character Design: Niji Hayashi (Fire Emblem Heroes, Shadowverse), Junko Kawano ([Suikoden] Series, Eiyuden Chronicle)
- Director: Makoto Yamamoto ([Sengoku Basara] Series)
- Music: Rei Kondoh (Okami, Bayonetta, Fire Emblem: Three Houses)
- Supervisor: Masayuki Horikawa (Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance)
- Scenario: Iduru Matsuno ([Sengoku Basara] Series)
- Producer: Masaru Saito
On the official PlayStation blog, Producer Masaru Saito had this to say about the project’s direction:
This latest entry carries forward series staples, like fighting battles on hex-based maps using troops of knights and monsters, various RPG elements, and over 100 units with their own skills, elements, and traits. However, it will also feature some brand-new systems (details to come)! Plus, 3D graphics bring the game’s wide array of battlefields to life, providing a sense of immersion to its deep strategy gameplay.
In addition to the six stories following the six main characters, there are also optional side quests which follow each of the continent’s 24 factions. This makes for a staggering combined total of 200+ hours of playtime—enough to satisfy even the most die-hard players!
An exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, so stay tuned for more updates. Check out their official website for more news as it comes out, and we’ll also keep you in the loop.

Dante is Editor-in-Chief (Lord Hokage), which means he runs editorial and operations at BrandAnime. That means this whole thing was his idea, and he spends his time making stuff work and covering the latest anime and games. When he's not doing 100 things at once, he's usually... watching anime or playing games. His life isn't that interesting, honestly.
