Rupture shenanigan is still not over as we’re getting the third Rupture DPS in Zenless Zone Zero named Yidhari! Those who have completed the main story should know who she is as the lovely octopus thiren play an important role which will not be spoiled here. Let’s take a look at her kits and build her to the best of our ability!
Table of Contents
Yidhari Kit & Overview
Core Skill

The lower Yidhari’s HP is, the higher the DMG her attacks deal, with this boost maxing out when her Health drops below 50%.
When another character in your squad is a Stun/Support character: When Yidhari’s HP fall below 50%, she gains additional Crit DMG boost and takes reduced damage.
Hold Basic ATK
Yidhari’s Hold BA is her main damage output. Hold BA to begin charging, while continously consuming HP to reach up to three levels of charge. When BA is released, Yidhari unleashes a powerful charged hammer attack.

FIRST
Hold Basic ATK + Tap EX Special Skill (No Parry)
If you only hold BA and release it after the charging is full, you will only do a lot of spinning like in the 1st GIF above (which is not recommended).
But if you hold BA + EX Special Skill without parrying enemy’s attack; which will happen 60% of the time because enemies won’t be attacking you that often to be able to activate the parry, you will trigger a much shorter charged hammer attack but with a better damage (THIS is the most recommended combo).

SECOND
Hold Basic ATK + Tap EX Special Skill (Parry)
THIS is her bread and butter. It’s basically the same as previous one, but when you’re tapping the EX Special Skill, it must collides with an enemy’s attack to trigger Surging Cold.
Ultimate (Chain ATK)

Yidhari has a special Ultimate. When her Decibel Rating is at maximum, and you do a Charged ATK or EX Special ATK, it will consume 3,000 Decibels to activate an Ether Veil: Wellspring. This will also unlock her Ultimate: Final Act – Crossing the River of Regret.
TLDR: When you have 3K Decibels, use a Charged ATK/EX Special to activate Veil effect to increase max HP and boost Yidhari’s charging speed. Then, you can use her real Ultimate for free (within 30 seconds after activating the veil).
Rotation
If you noticed, I haven’t mentioned about her normal EX Special Skill at all. That’s because it’s not really important and you shouldn’t be using it most of the time. Normal EX Special Skill will only heal Yidhari (and do some damage).
Instead of using that, you should save the Adrenaline and use it to Hold BA + EX Special to parry enemy’s attack and trigger Surging Cold.
In short, Yidhari’s rotation most of the time would be:
Hold BA + EX Special (Parry if possible) > When Decibels are enough, do another Charged ATK to activate Veil > Use Ultimate
Yidhari Best W-Engines
| W-Engines | Names | Passive Skill |
|---|---|---|
![]() | Kraken’s Cradle (HP | 30%) | When the equipper’s HP decreases, their Ice Sheer DMG increases by 6~10%, stacking up to 3 times and lasting 25s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s. When the equipper’s HP falls to 50% of Max HP or below, CRIT Rate increases by 20~32%. |
![]() ![]() | Qingming Birdcage (HP | 30%) Grill O’Wisp (HP | 25%) | Effect does not matter. Note: Yidhari can only take advantage of the HP stat and the Crit Rate bonus of these 2 W-Engines. |
![]() | Puzzle Sphere (ATK | 25%) | Upon launching an EX Special Attack, the equipper’s CRIT DMG increases by 16~25.6% for 12s. Additionally, if the target’s current HP is below 50% of their Max HP, EX Special Attack DMG increases by 20~32%. Note: Has a really great passive for Yidhari, but the ATK stat is not that beneficial for her. Still a great F2P option! |
![]() | Radiowave Journey (HP | 25%) | When launching a Chain Attack or Ultimate, the equipper gains 1 stack of a buff effect. Each stack increases the equipper’s Sheer Force by 80~128, stacking up to 3 times, and lasting 12s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |

Yidhari Synergy & Team Compositions

Rupture DPSes always have straightforward team composition. Like standard team, all you have to do is add a support like Lucia or Pan Yinhu in the second slot, and a stunner like Ju Fufu and Lycaon in the third slot. You can also bring two supports instead of a stunner in the team, like Lucia and Pan Yinhu together.
Team Composition Examples
Yidhari as the Rupture DPS.
Lucia / Pan Yinhu as the Rupture support.
Ju Fufu / Lycaon as Stunner. But you can also use Astra / Pan Yinhu as the second support (if Pan Yinhu not in the second slot).
Yidhari Talent Priority
