Spiral Abyss is updated every 16th and for December, new enemies are added to the end-game as we arrive to the new area, Nod-Krai. By entering the abyss, you will challenge your team build against various enemies and mechanism, striving to get full 12 stars.

However, not everyone will have an easy time to collect the stars as newer players may have difficulty in understanding the mechanism of some enemies, or their builds are not perfect yet. This guide will help players to understand the enemies in floor 11 and 12, while recommending some teams that you can try.

Spiral Abyss Luna II Floor 11

Ley Line Disorder

  • All party members gain a 60% Pyro DMG Bonus.
  • All party members gain 60% Electro DMG Bonus.

Team Recommendations

Team Recommendations for the First Half

Crowd Control characters are extremely recommended here because of the tremendous amount of enemies in every wave. You really need to have at least 1 CC to collect all of them in the same place so as not waste time chasing after each of them. Next is a Pyro or Electro character; because of the Ley Line buff is one thing, another is that there are many Cryo Slimes here, and you want to destroy their tough Cryo shield first before you can defeat them. Lastly, do not use Hydro or Cryo DPS because Slimes and Specters are immune to their corresponding element. Of course, Hydro or Cryo Sub-DPS or Support is fine!

Team Recommendations for the Second Half

The second half is much more forgiving because there are not too many enemies, and the only RES that you can find is in the last chamber with Jadeplume, which has 80% Dendro RES. So, aside from Dendro DPS, every other team is viable. But don’t forget about the Ley Line buff that provides Pyro and Electro DMG bonus! Teams with these elements have a greater chance of being on the current floor 11.

Chamber 1 – First Half

Right from the start of the battle until the end, Slimes will keep spawning after you defeat each one, until all 65 enemies are out. Each and every one of the Slime will attack the Monolith. This is where the CC character comes in. It’s best if you can use Anemo CC to collect all of them in one place, then use any Pyro or Electro characters to trigger reactions and defeat them instantly.

Chamber 1 – Second Half

The second half is a bit similar to the first half, where the enemies will keep spawning until all 10 Nobushi are out. In addition, all of them will focus on the Monolith. The difference is that they will only spawn 2 Nobushi at a time. So you won’t have too much troubles defeating them, especially if you bring along an AoE DPS or Sub-DPS. Once you trigger aggro, just stay away from the Monolith, and you’ll be fine.

Chamber 2 – First Half

Similar to chamber 1, the Specters here will keep spawning once you defeat any one of them, until all 30 Specters are out. There will be at least 5 Specters at a time. Remember that Specters are immune to their own element, so Hydro and Cryo DPS will have an extremely hard time defeating them.

But the most annoying part is that when a Specter is defeated, it will leave one last explosion, dealing their own elemental damage. So if you get hit by the explosion of Cryo and Hydro Specters, your character will get Frozen. Try to keep an eye out when the Specters’ HP are completely depleted, and avoid the upcoming explosion to not be frozen.

Chamber 2 – Second Half

There are two waves here, with each wave having a single Eroding Avatar of Lava. Despite looking like that big ball of lava, it’s actually not immune nor having RES to Pyro. In fact, the mechanic wants Pyro attack so we can defeat it faster.

See those Fury bar above their HP? When the Eroding Avatar of Lava is attacked by a Pyro attack, it will gain a few percentage to fill the Fury bar. When the Fury bar reaches 20%, 40%, and 60%, it will take True Physical DMG equal to 25%, 20%, and 15% of its Max HP, respectively.
When the Fury bar is full, the Eroding Avatar of Lava is automatically defeated. Of course, if you don’t bring any Pyro character to take advantage of this, it’s also okay, but you have to brute force a little bit.

Chamber 3 – First Half

In the first wave, we have two Cryo Cicin Mages. Note that if you didn’t knockback them with Anemo CC or other attack, they can create Cryo shields and summon 3 Cryo Cicin each. Those Cicin will disrupt your DPS attack direction, which can be pretty annoying. Just in case, make sure to bring at least 1 Pyro of an Electro character so you can destroy those shields if the girls bring it out.

The second wave is pretty similar, where if you didn’t defeat the Fatui fast enough, they will create a Cryo shield. With the shield up, the Cryogunner’s Freezing Spray attack will also get stronger. As long as you have an element to bring down the shield, you’re good.

The third and fourth waves only have a single enemy, Thunderblitz and Mirror Maiden. Thunderblitz doesn’t have too many mechanics except for its high HP. The annoying part for the Mirror Maiden is when she teleports around. Keep an eye out for her attacks and try to save your Burst only after it finishes teleporting.

Chamber 3 – Second Half

There is only one wave here, and you’re facing Jadeplume Terrorshroom. Make sure you are in range within Jadeplume’s attack range (if you bring melee DPS) because most of their attacks are short range, and you can dodge to avoid taking any damage. Of course, if you bring a shielder/healer, you can end the fight faster by brute force attacking Jadeplume.

Left is Activated, while the right one is Scorched

There are 3 states of Jadeplume: Normal, Activated, and Scorched:
(1) The Normal state is the one you’re dealing with in its default form.
(2) The Activated state is when the Fury bar under its HP is filled by Electro attacks from your character. When Jadeplume is in Activated form, it has different attack modes but will eventually be paralyzed from exhaustion for 15 seconds.
(3) The last state is the Scorched state when the Jadeplume is affected by Burning (Dendro+Pyro). It’s not really a big deal except for its skill, which can summon a maximum of 4 Fungi, which will make you lose precious time in the challenge.

Both states are decent so you can choose which one you think is the best for your team. For the Activated state, make sure to avoid any incoming attacks from Jadeplume because those hit like a truck. Instead, wait until it’s paralyzed before you can spam your attacks.

For the Scorched state and the Fungi spores, you can destroy the spores with Electro/Hydro/Pyro within 3 seconds before they can spawn, which will stop the Fungi from spawning. Any of the mentioned elemental AoE attacks are great here.

Ley Line Disorder

  • First HalfOff-field characters gain a 75% Pyro DMG Bonus.
  • Second Half – Characters’ Plunging Attack DMG increased by 75%.

Team Recommendations

Team Recommendations for the First Half

For the first half, you need, REALLY need a character that can do AoE attack; whether it’s Venti’s Burst, Mavuika’s Burst, or even Burgeon reaction is fine. There are just too many enemies in Chamber 1 to use any single-target DPS. This half is Venti Hexerei-shilling, so you know there are multiple enemies at a time. In addition, Pyro is extremely important here because of the new enemy in the last chamber.

Team Recommendations for the Second Half

For the second half, you want a single-target DPS because there is only 1 enemy in each wave. Plunging character is obviously the best with the Ley Line buff, followed by a Geo character like Zhongli to break the shield in the last chamber. That’s it, honestly, just maximize your damage output, and bring a sustain to prevent death.

Chamber 1 – First Half

There are many, MANY, enemies in this half. In the first wave, you will have a total of 25 Meka. Of course, there can only be 5 enemies at a time. But after defeating each one of them, the next Meka will spawn. Having an AoE DPS here is really important because these Meka can back away from you, and chasing after them will waste so much time.

The next wave is also similar, where the Cicin Mages will keep spawning, with 3 of them on the field at a time. They are even worse than the Meka because they often teleport, and can also create a Cryo shield + summon Cicin Mages that can distract your DPS auto-target

Last but not least, one single huge Meka for the last wave, because after torturing you with 40 enemies that want an AoE character, now it wants you to use a single-target DPS on this elite enemy for the best result. This one moves around a lot, so make sure it stops moving first before using your Burst.

Chamber 1 – Second Half

In the first and second waves, there is only one enemy, the Furnace Shell Mountain Weasel. One of the skills you need to understand is when it burrows underground and activates its Secret Source Core, gaining a shield. You need to hit the core with a Plunging Attack to reduce the shield’s durability. Once you destroy the shield, it will receive some of the damage you did while the shield was active.

Chamber 2 – First Half

In the first wave, there are 3 Fatui, and even though the elite one is the most ‘dangerous’, I recommend defeating the 2 mobs first because their attack can actually stagger your character, and they can do it by being far away from you (long-range attack), which I find really annoying. But if you bring a character that can group them in one place or deal AoE damage, it’s better.

In the second wave, the two Kairagi may use a dash attack whenever they want. If you don’t bring an Anemo CC and don’t want them to move far away, get near the wall (make sure your back is facing the wall at the front) so if the Kairagi uses a dash attack, the wall will help stop them. But if you have an Anemo CC, you can gather these 2 quite easily.

Also, you have to watch out for their ability to regenerate half of their HP and be immune to CC if one of the Kairagi dies while the other one is still alive. The best option to avoid one of them recovering half their HP is to (1) make sure you attack both of them until their HP is the same before finishing them off or (2) use DPS with high burst damage to kill both of them at the same time or (3) using Freeze team to immobilize the Kairagi, giving you a longer window to kill it before it can even heal.

In the third and fourth waves, there is one Ruin enemy each. I believe Ruin Guard is not a problem for you, but the Skywatch may be a bit problematic. Should you aim for its weak point? You can, and it’s up to you. If you feel like attacking the hovering enemy is hard, you can paralyze it first before spamming your attacks. It does have an attack that will make it hover above your melee character, so don’t put your hopes up too much and get your bow character ready.

Fun Fact, Furina’s Salon Members (the trio) will most of the time focus on attacking the core instead of anywhere else, so she can be a replacement if you don’t have any built or suitable bow character. Can’t 100% rely on them to hit the core, though, cause sometimes they don’t aim for the core.

Chamber 2 – Second Half

The first and second waves feature a single Veteran Tainted Phantasm that is completely immune to Hydro. Both of them are different variants, but the difference is that one is long-ranged while the other is melee. On the bright side, you can easily trigger a Hydro-related reaction. The Phantasm will enter an enraged state from the start because it’s a veteran, where it will use enhanced attacks and become immune to being Frozen. If you bring a Cryo character and freeze the Tainted Hydro Phantasm for more than 8 seconds, it will also force it to enter this state.

Chamber 3 – First Half

This is the new enemy in Genshin Impact Luna III: Super-Heavy Landrover: Mechanized Fortress. It has a Fury gauge beneath the HP bar that fills whenever it takes Pyro DMG. Then the gauge reaches 50%, it will begin to overheat (you can see by the plating becoming red), and its RES will decrease by 60%.

After the gauge is filled, it will generate a Cryo Ward (shield). You need to use Pyro or Electro to deplete the Cryo Ward, and the boss will become paralyzed for 16 seconds, and decrease All RES by another 70%. But if you didn’t destroy the Cryo Ward, it will fly upwards, dealing its Ultimate damage. You cannot avoid this by dash i-frames.

Chamber 3 – Second Half

There is only one enemy in one wave: Veteran Arithmetic Enhancer Mek. This enemy is Ousia-type. Hitting it with the Pneuma while it is not shielded will cause it to lose Arkhe and become stunned for a short period of time. Unfortunately, this boss is shielded right from the start so you can’t rely on the Arkhe attacks.

The Meka has a Geo shield that grants it a 200% increase to all RES while active (in Abyss, it’s usually active right from the start) and protects it from being paralyzed caused by Pneuma attacks. The shield is weakest against Blunt Attacks (Claymore attacks, Plunging attacks, and most Geo DMG). When destroyed, the shield will be regenerated after some time.

Aside from that, this enemy will also have a Gravity Reduction Field around it while Arkhe is available, which greatly boosts the jumping height of characters within.

So the plan here is, when the challenge starts, use your character to jump high and do a plunging attack. This can be done until the Geo shield is only a few percent left. Then, right before the shield is completely broken and the boss is stunned, you can activate all Skill and Burst so when it’s truly stunned, you can continue to dish out huge damage.

The worst attack it has is Gravity Ripple (not its official name), where it periodically sends out a shockwave that expands outwards and can be jumped over, dealing Geo DMG on hit. This attack cannot be dodged using sprint i-frames. For this one, jumping is really recommended unless you have a sturdy shield because it can deal some big damage.
For other attacks, I believe you can dodge it just fine. Focus on removing that Geo shield, and once it’s gone, brute force it as fast as possible before it creates another shield.
