A new character promotional trailer for Bertia (Observation Records of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess) has just been published on YouTube, showing off the main heroine and her vibrant personality:
The key thing in this trailer is that Bertia lives in an otome game–like fantasy world, and is a reincarnated girl who is fully aware of the game’s narrative structure. She knows full well what’s going on in this world, and calls herself a “villainess,” and seems determined to sabotage her engagement, which gets absolutely no suitable reaction from Cecil.

This upcoming series is built on the playfully hilarious misunderstandings and incorrect assumptions of Bertia in this fantasy world. The anime’s release date is set in 2026, but no exact premiere date is known at this time.
