Lauma is the first 5-star character released in Nod-Krai, so one can expect how hyped she was in the Genshin Impact community. Fortunately, the developer delivers with Lauma being one of the best Dendro off-field support, especially in Bloom teams.

Lauma Kit & Overview
Moonsign (Nascent & Ascendant Gleam)

First of all, let’s talk about the team bonus: Moonsign.
▶ If there is only 1 Nod-Krai character in the team, you will activate Nascent Gleam effect.
▶ While if there are 2 Nod-Krai characters, the Ascendant Gleam will be activated.
These effects play huge role in Lauma’s team because her passive talent will provide different buffs depending on the Moonsign.

Lauma’s passive talent: Light for the Frosty Night will provide different buffs after using her Elemental Skill based on the Moonsign.
- If there’s only one Nod-Krai character (Lauma herself), the Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon DMG can now CRIT.
- If there are two Nod-Krai character, the Lunar-Bloom DMG Crit Rate and Crit DMG will be increased.
Unless your Lauma is being paired with Nefer (where the latter really need the Ascendant Gleam buff), usually you would want Lauma to be the only Nod-Krai character so the Bloom/Hyperbloom/Burgeon can CRIT.
Lunar-Bloom DMG and Reaction

One thing you absolutely know is Lunar-Bloom damage and reaction are DIFFERENT!
The image you’ve seen above with Lauma, is her doing a Lunar-Bloom reaction. It functions the same way as Bloom, but Lunar-Bloom will fills the Verdant Dew (the moon icons below the team).

In version 6.1, there are only two ways to trigger a Lunar-Bloom DMG: Lauma’s Hold Skill & Nefer’s Charged ATK Phantasm Performance. Both of them will consume a certain amount of Verdant Dew to deal Lunar-Bloom DMG.
TIPS: You can see how Lunar-Bloom DMG has an italic green-to-white gradient number unlike the normal Bloom DMG that has a full green number.
Buffs from Skill and Burst

Now that the important things has been mentioned, let’s go to Lauma’s kit, which is basically Skill and Burst. Lauma’s Skill can be Tap or Hold. By tapping, she will summon a sanctuary aka an AoE field that will periodically deal Dendro DMG to enemies. In addition, enemies hit by the AoE will have their Dendro and Hydro RES decreased for 10 seconds. Lauma’s Hold skill will also do the same thing, with the addition of consuming Verdant Dew to deal Lunar-Bloom DMG.
When should you use Tap or Hold Skill?
It depends on your team.
▶ If Lauma is the only character that can deal Lunar-Bloom DMG, then you definitely should HOLD Skill to consume all the Verdant Dew – as it will also gives you Moon Song (that can be converted to buff when using Ultimate).
▶ But if your team has another DPS that can trigger Lunar-Bloom DMG (like Nefer), then you should use Lauma’s TAP Skill so the DPS can use the Verdant Dew (Unless you have C6 Nefer of course).

Now to the last one, the Burst. Using Lauma’s Elemental Burst will grants her with Pale Hymn. And if she has any Moon Song beforehand (by using Hold Skill to consume Verdant Dew), it will also be converted to Pale Hymn. When any characters deal Bloom-related DMG, lauma consumes 1 Pale Hymn to increase the DMG dealt based on her EM.
Rotation
I know everything sounds convoluted with her many terms, but I swear using Lauma is extremely easy. All you have to do is use Lauma’s Tap/Hold Skill > then Ultimate when her Energy is full. That’s all!

Lauma Synergy & Team Compositions
Lauma is a great buffer for Dendro-related reactions, especially one connected to Blooms. Most of the time, you want to use her as the off-field Dendro applicator and buffers. But if you want to try something else, you can bring her as the enabler in the team where she will be on the field most of the time to trigger reaction.
Lunar-Bloom Team

With the release of Nefer in version 6.1, Lauma is proven to be the best support for her! As mentioned before, since Nefer is the Main DPS in the team and also needs to use Verdant Dew, Lauma should only use her Tap Skill instead of Hold Skill. Unless, you have C6 Nefer.
The third slot can be given to a suitable Hydro character (Aino is the best because of her short Burst CD), while the last slot can be given to another buffer or sustain.
Bloom Team

So maybe you did not pull for Nefer for certain reasons, that’s okay, there’s many more teams that Lauma can shine in. One of them is the Bloom team with Nilou. Previously, Nahida and Nilou are the best duo for her Bloom team. Now, you can replace Nahida with Lauma for even more buffs and to make the Bloom CRIT (if the team has Nascent Gleam effect). Of course, you can still add Nahida to the team as the third or fourth slot. Just make sure to bring a healer unless your Lauma is C1.
Hyperbloom Team

Remember how Nahida has been an enabler in once a powerhouse Hyperbloom team of Kuki Shinobu and Xingqiu. Now, you can replace Nahida with Lauma and still get the same, if not more, damage. Same as the previous team, you can still bring Nahida to the team if you want!

If you have Neuvilette and Furina, Lauma can be added to their team to add the Bloom reaction. Then, add an Electro character like Kuki or Ineffa to trigger Hyperbloom.
Lauma Talent Priority

Skill = Burst > Lv. 90
As mentioned previously, all you had to do was use her Skill and Burst. So obviously, you want to upgrade both of them so you can get the maximum buffs from Lauma.
Lauma Constellation Overview

Best Mindscapes: C1, C2 & C6

This effect can be triggered once every 1.9s. Additionally, the Stamina cost for Lauma’s Spirit Envoy Form will be reduced by 40%, and its Max Duration will be extended by 5s. |

This effect can occur up to 8 times during each Frostgrove Sanctuary. When using the Elemental Skill Runo: Dawnless Rest of Karsikko, all Pale Hymn stacks gained in this manner will be removed. Additionally, when Lauma uses a Normal Attack while she has Pale Hymn stacks, she will consume 1 stack to convert this to deal Dendro DMG equal to 150% of her Elemental Mastery. This DMG is considered Lunar-Bloom DMG. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: All nearby party members’ Lunar-Bloom DMG is elevated by 25%. |
