A new Fire DPS is coming and his name is Komano Manato! While fans may know of his appearance starting from Zenless Zone Zero version 2.0, he only became playable in version 2.3, debuting as the first A-Rank Rupture DPS (sorry for the fans who wants him to be S-Rank).
He will be the second Rupture DPS after Yi Xuan, and despite being an A-Rank, I believe he is a good damage dealer (of course not as strong as the Grandmaster Yi Xuan, but definitely good enough to complete the end-games in ZZZ). Let’s go over his best builds!

Manato Synergy & Team Compositions
If you already have Yi Xuan, you know how it goes to a Rupture DPS = a Supporter and a Stunner. You will want a Support which are Lucia / Pan Yinhu / Astra, and a Stunner, Ju Fufu / Lighter / Koleda.

Stunner = Ju Fufu / Lighter / Koleda / Trigger / Qingyi / Pulchra
A special shoutout for Orphie is needed because despite being an Attack unit, she’s also suitable as the 3rd slot of Manato’s team. This is because her kit acts like an off-field DPS and providing a bit of support instead of a pure on-field damage dealer.

Manato Mindscape Overview
Best Mindscapes: M1, M2 & M6
- Mindscape 1 ★: As Manato’s HP decreases, his HP lost is accumulated. Each 1% of Max HP lost increases the Fire DMG of Assist Follow-Ups and Basic Attacks by 0.4%, up to a max of 20%.
- Mindscape 2 ★: While in the Molten Edge state, Manato ignores 8% of a target’s Fire RES. If hit by an enemy while using Special Attack: Return to Ashes or Special Attack: Return to Ashes – Sacrifice, press to trigger an Assist Follow-Up.
- Mindscape 3: Basic Attack, Assist, Dodge, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
- Mindscape 4: Max HP increases by 8%. During Special Attack: Return to Ashes and Special Attack: Return to Ashes – Sacrifice, when Manato takes fatal DMG, he remains in battle, with his HP not dropping below 1.
- Mindscape 5: Basic Attack, Assist, Dodge, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
- Mindscape 6 ★: When Special Attack: Return to Ashes hits a Stunned enemy, Manato gains 75 Blazing Heart and 4 stacks of Remnant Flame, and pressing will launch an Assist Follow-Up. This Remnant Flame effect can trigger once every 20s. When his Assist Follow-Up hits an enemy, Manato’s Fire DMG increases by 3% for 8s, stacking up to 5 times. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
