At The Game Awards 2025, Zenless Zone Zero gave us a cameo of New Eridu’s newest faction: The Angels of Delusion (AOD).
The Angels are coming soon to Zenless Zone Zero, so here’s everything you need to know about this faction and their expected release date.
Who Are the Angels of Delusion?
The Angels of Delusion are an underground virtual idol group in New Eridu. There are three members: Aria, Nangong Yu, and Sunna.
- Aria: The confirmed lead singer of the group and possibly a human-robot hybrid. Teased as an S-Rank Ether Anomaly agent in Version 2.6
- Sunna: The earliest reveal of AOD (Tales of Midsummer Dreams event). Teased as an S-Rank Physical Support agent in Version 2.6.
- Nangong Yu: The third confirmed member of AOD, but no concrete details are known. She may be playable after Version 2.6.
The Angels of Delusion are touted as an up-and-coming idol group that livestreams often, but aren’t yet as popular as other artists in New Eridu (such as Astra Yao).
When will the Angels of Delusion Be Released in ZZZ?
The Angels of Delusion are expected to be playable in the upcoming Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.6, which should debut on February 6, 2026. Aria and Sunna are expected to be promoted as the first two S-Rank banners.

Nangong Yu is expected to be a playable character a bit later. Players can already learn more about the Angels of Delusion by playing the new Version 2.5 hangout event, Angels and Delusions of Muse. It begins when you find Aria on Sixth Street as she’s looking for musical inspiration and wants the Proxy’s help.
How Will the Angels of Delusion Impact the Storyline?
We don’t have a clue.
The storyline’s latest break in Version 2.5 concluded with Ye Shunguang becoming a Void Hunter and mastering the Qingming Sword. We’ve received some very interesting lore about Lady Sunbringer and the Mayor’s shady past, but we’re probably going to be kept in the dark until the next ZZZ livestream in another week or so.
