The new horror-comedy anime Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary, just released a new trailer revealing its premier date for January 11th, 2025.
Here is the Seven Seas Entertainment description of the manga:
Kaya-chan is a notorious problem child in her kindergarten, but none of the adults know her secret–till Chie-sensei is put in charge and learns of Kaya-chan’s hidden ability to see evil spirits and vanquish them with a punch! What will happen to this five-year-old who gets in trouble when she’s only trying to help?

They’ve got some good folks working on this anime at East Fish Studio. Hiroshi Ikehata (Dark Gathering) will be the director. Shigeru Murakoshi (Ninja Kamui) will handle the series composition, Taro Yamada and Hiroyuki Moriguchi will compose the character designs. KOHTA YAMAMOTO and Shun Narita (Dark Gathering) will bring the music.
Finally, the trailer revealed revealed the OP and ED compositions. Isekaijoucho performs “Maboroshi no Yukue” for the opening and SAK & TAO perform “Playmour feat. Kaya-chan” for the ending.
This is a playful and interesting addition into Winter Anime 2026. Stay tuned!
