Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle is making headlines again, and this time the news covers both the worldwide release and its record-breaking run in Japan.
It’s also now available in select regions today.
Let’s dive into what is going on.
Tickets On Sale Worldwide
On August 15, 2025, tickets officially went on sale for Infinity Castle Part 1: Akaza Returns in international markets, including the United States and Canada.
Fans will be able to watch the movie in both Japanese with subtitles and English dub. The film will also be available in premium formats like IMAX, giving audiences a bigger and more immersive viewing experience.
The official release date for these regions is today September 12, 2025. That means the wait is now over for international fans who have been eager to see the first part of the highly anticipated finale arc.
Still Number One in Japan
Meanwhile in Japan, Infinity Castle continues to dominate theaters. During the weekend of September 5 to 7, 2025, the movie earned about 804 million yen, which is roughly 5.46 million US dollars, with 501,000 admissions.
That was a drop of about 26 percent from the previous weekend, but it was still enough to keep the film at the top.
The more impressive detail is the longevity. Even in its eighth weekend, Infinity Castle held on to the number one spot at the Japanese box office. As of September 7, the film had earned 31.42 billion yen, which is about 212 million US dollars, with more than 22 million tickets sold.
Let’s see how Infinity Castle stacked up against other movies in the box office:
| Rank | Title | Weekends Since Release |
|---|---|---|
| 1 (1) | Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle | 8 |
| 2 (2) | Exit 8 | 2 |
| 3 (3) | Kokuho | 14 |
| 4 (new) | Karada Sagashi: THE LAST NIGHT | 1 |
| 5 (4) | TOKYO MER: Hashiru Kinkyu Kyumeishitsu – Nankai Mission | 6 |
| 6 (new) | How to Train Your Dragon | 1 |
| 7 (5) | Jurassic World: Rebirth | 5 |
| 8 (new) | A Pale View of Hills | 1 |
| 9 (6) | Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers | 5 |
| 10 (7) | Karate Kids: Legends | 2 |
The Infinity Castle movie is proving to be a global event. International fans can finally secure their tickets and prepare for the big screen experience, while the Japanese box office numbers show no sign of slowing down.
It is clear that Demon Slayer continues to be a cultural powerhouse both at home and abroad.
Which part of this news excites you more? Getting to see the movie in theaters soon, or the fact that it is still number one in Japan after two months?
For me, it’s both.

Dante is Editor-in-Chief (Lord Hokage), which means he runs editorial and operations at BrandAnime. That means this whole thing was his idea, and he spends his time making stuff work and covering the latest anime and games. When he's not doing 100 things at once, he's usually... watching anime or playing games. His life isn't that interesting, honestly.
