Champignon Witch has just teased the opening and ending visuals, ahead of its January 8th release.

Check out the opening, “Mahōtsukai no Nikki (A Wizard’s Diary)” by ROS:

And, the ending theme, “Kimi wa” by Ms.OOJA:

The Champignon Witch, created by Tachibana Higuchi and serialized in Hakusensha’s “Manga Park” in 2019, is a magical tale of love, adventure, and emotion.

According to the original videos, here is a synopsis:

Deep within the Black Forest,
in a small home made of poisonous mushrooms,
there lived a witch named Luna.

Wherever she walked or touched, poisonous mushrooms would sprout.
Even her breath and skin carried traces of poison.
People in town called her “The Witch of Champignon.”
Feared as a dark witch, no one dared approach her.

Every day, Luna travels into town to sell her medicines.
Her remedies are beloved as miracle cures,
and those who use them always express their gratitude—
though none of them know who actually makes the medicine.
Even so, Luna quietly continues her work.

Then, one day—
a miraculous encounter arrives for Luna,
a lonely witch who had never known the warmth of another person.

A magical fantasy of love, adventure, and heartfelt emotion now begins!

──This is the tale of the gentle dark witch Luna,
and the many people whose lives intertwine with hers—
a story of love in all its forms.
