Her big debut is coming with Genshin Impact Version 6.0, and fans are already buzzing about this pink-haired tinkerer who somehow manages to mix cuteness with mechanical brilliance.

Who is Aino in Genshin Impact?
Aino is known across Nod-Krai as the “Clinky-Clank Gadgets-A-Gogo,” a fitting title for someone who treats screws and gears like most people treat crayons. She runs the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop, a cozy little place where her inventions come to life.
While most kids her age are still figuring out multiplication tables, Aino has been busy assembling machines that actually work.
Her backstory is bittersweet: orphaned young, she filled the void of family by creating her own mechanical companions.
Among her proudest creations is Ineffa, the quirky little robot first seen during Version 5.8. That one invention alone made waves in the community, but Aino’s mind clearly doesn’t stop at a single project.
She’s always tinkering with new contraptions, each one stranger and more charming than the last.

Aino’s design screams “inventor.” Her pink hair, playful outfit, and gear-shaped accessories make her stand out from the typically darker, heavier styles of Snezhnaya. She doesn’t carry herself like a hardened warrior.
Instead, her confidence comes from the gadgets strapped to her belt and the tools peeking out of her pockets.
It’s this contrast, childlike charm paired with dangerous brilliance, that will make Aino stand out in the dark and depressing Nod-Krai region.
Aino’s Role in the Story
The reveal of Aino during the “Moonlit Ballad of the Night” teaser gave Travelers their first look at Nod-Krai’s lineup. Aino’s cheerful presence contrasted sharply with the icy, mysterious vibe of her homeland, making her immediately stand out.
Her role in the story seems to tie directly into the themes of invention and survival. During Ineffa’s debut in The Journey Home | Song of the Welkin Moon – Prelude, she immediately recognized the Traveler and Paimon and said to have a message for them.
The message was revealed to be from Grandmaster Varka, but it’s clear Aino programmed Ineffa to give this to our heroes.

Aino’s Release Date in Genshin Impact
Aino will officially join the roster in Genshin Impact Version 6.0, scheduled for release on September 10, 2025.
She’s expected to appear right away in Phase 1 of the new banners, making her one of the first Nod-Krai characters you can actually recruit.
While her rarity hasn’t been officially spelled out, current info suggests Aino will likely be a 4-star character, sharing her debut banner with Lauma, the 5-star powerhouse.
That means even if you’re saving your Primogems for Lauma, there’s a good chance you’ll snag Aino along the way.
