Sasuke Had the Strongest Plot Armor in Naruto

Sasuke's survival in Naruto is almost too good to be true. From surviving Deidara's explosion to being saved at the 5 Kage Summit and beyond, here’s a breakdown of Sasuke’s insane plot armor.

Alright, let’s get this out of the way first: Sasuke Uchiha is an absolute powerhouse.

There’s no doubt that he’s one of the most gifted and talented ninjas in Naruto, but if we’re being honest—the dude had some of the most ridiculous plot armor in the series.

He survived situations that, quite frankly, should have killed him, and it often felt like the story bent reality just to keep him alive.

I’m not even talking about the fact that Sasuke’s incredible skills helped him win battles—no, I’m talking about the times he survived fights purely because the plot demanded it. It almost seems like Kishimoto was like, “Yeah, Sasuke’s too important to die, let’s make something work.”

And honestly? It’s frustrating at times because some of these moments make zero sense. Let’s break down some of the most ridiculous plot armor moments Sasuke experienced throughout Naruto.

Sasuke vs. Deidara: Surviving the Explosion

Okay, let’s talk about Sasuke’s fight with Deidara, one of the most insane battles in Naruto Shippuden. Sasuke was already at his limit fighting against Deidara’s explosive clay jutsu, which was more than enough to obliterate him.

But things take a turn when Deidara decides to use his ultimate self-destructive attack—a giant explosion that would’ve destroyed everything in the area, including Sasuke.

Now here’s where it gets ridiculous: Sasuke somehow summons a snake in the split second before the explosion detonates, saving himself at the last possible moment.

Wait—what? This makes no sense. Deidara had already given Sasuke the countdown for his explosive jutsu.

Um, did you see Sasuke weave any signs to summon Manda?

Me neither…

Sasuke, literally seconds away from death, summons a snake from out of nowhere to escape the blast. How does he even manage that? It’s as if the narrative just needed him to survive at any cost.

That kind of timing is super questionable, and it makes you wonder if Sasuke’s survival was just due to plot armor—there’s no way he should have been able to act that quickly and narrowly avoid death. Yet, here we are, with Sasuke escaping unscathed once again.

Sasuke at the Five Kage Summit: Surviving Against the Raikage, Mizukage, and Ohnoki

Sasuke shows up at the Five Kage Summit—a major event where the leaders of the ninja world are gathered, and he decides to crash the party. Naturally, the Kages aren’t exactly thrilled to see him.

Raikage A—who is incredibly strong—literally slams Sasuke through the ground with enough force to likely kill anyone else.

And that’s just the start. The Mizukage and Ohnoki, two other Kages, get involved too, and they overwhelm Sasuke, who should have absolutely been dead at this point.

Sasuke had absolutely no counter for Mei here:

And, then he got cubed by Ohnoki which should have been goodnight and good game:

But somehow, Sasuke survives. Why? Because Obito steps in at the last second to rescue him. Yup, that’s right—Sasuke gets pulled out of a near-death situation by Obito, who conveniently saves him at just the right moment.

It’s ridiculous. Sasuke had no chance against all the Kages, but the plot demanded his survival, so Obito intervened, and Sasuke was able to escape. This entire sequence was unbelievable, especially considering the Kages were working together to destroy him.

Sasuke should have died against the Raikage who was prepared to die to kill him. Gaara saved Sasuke (and the Raikage too, but he didn’t care). And Obito rescued him along with Zetsu.

My god… even Naruto didn’t have that much help.

Dude fought Pain alone in a village full of ninja, and yet Sasuke came to the summit with the squad and still got folded.

Sasuke vs. Danzo: Plot Armor in Full Force

Let’s move on to the Danzo fight, which is another prime example of Sasuke’s plot armor. Now, Danzo wasn’t exactly a pushover. He had the Sharingan in his arm, he could use Izanagi to cheat death, and he was fully prepared to fight Sasuke.

So, why did Sasuke manage to defeat him?

Sasuke should’ve lost this fight—Danzo had a much more strategic advantage, especially with the power of Izanagi, which can literally rewrite reality.

But somehow, Sasuke came out on top. How? Well, Danzo wasn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, and he made some dumb mistakes, like overusing Izanagi and giving Sasuke the chance he needed to take him down.

Once again, Sasuke’s survival feels more like the plot needed him to win, so Danzo conveniently made a series of errors that allowed Sasuke to claim victory.

I get it.

Danzo isn’t a Sharingan user by blood, so he wouldnt have mastery over it like Sasuke.

But, that’s a weak point still as Kakashi used his Sharington better than Sasuke easily.

And on top of that, Danzo spammed Izagani multiple times and still lost. How… is that possible, even if he’s stupid?

This moment didn’t feel earned—it felt like plot armor at its finest.

Sasuke vs. Killer B: Dying Twice, but Rescued by Karin

Then, there’s Killer B, the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, who Sasuke should’ve never survived against. This fight was insane—Sasuke was getting decimated by B’s raw strength and the power of the Eight-Tails, and he actually died multiple times in the battle.

See for yourself:

Killer B mopped Sasuke up too quick.

Again, where was Naruto’s squad when he fought Pain. Jiraiya didnt have much help neither.

And Kakashi stayed fighting alone, especially against Hidan and Kakazu while Ino and Choji watched from the sidelines.

Oh, and here is the death blow that was meant to send Sasuke to a family reunion on the other side:

Man…

But, Jugo jumped in to help by merging his cells with Sasuke, which was a good save by Kishimoto.

I liked how he hyped up Killer B here, but come on…

I rest my case.

Sasuke’s Plot Armor Was Unreal

Look, Sasuke is a gifted ninja, no doubt about it. But let’s not kid ourselves—he had some of the most ridiculous plot armor in the entire Naruto series.

He had too many close calls—battles he should have never walked away from, like against Danzo, Killer B, and even Raikage A.

His survival didn’t always make sense. Sasuke’s incredible plot armor is just another example of how in Naruto, strategy often wins out over raw power, but sometimes, plot armor can save a character in ways that logic can’t explain.

At the end of the day, Sasuke’s near-death moments and ridiculous survival feats make for great drama, but the fact remains: he had some of the strongest plot armor in the entire series.
