Okay, Auguste is a really annoying combatant.

Here’s how to take him down:

  • Auguste’s weaknesses are Sword, Spear, Axe, Ice, and Darkness.
  • You should fight him at about Level 25. The higher the better, of course.
  • As always, weaken him by attacking his weaknesses until he breaks.
  • In his first form, he’ll cast “Fatal Sentence”. Break him as soon as possible. You don’t want him to finish this spell.
  • Once you make it to his second form, his weaknesses are the same.
  • However, he will shuffle his weaknesses, and you’ll need to explore them once again. Alexia can scan him with Analyze and help you out.
  • His second form’s weaknesses are Sword, Spear, Axe, Ice, and Darkness. If you have any medium Soulstones, you should use them.
  • He will summon a Ruinous Rancour. Defeat it as soon as possible. It has the same weaknesses as first-form Auguste.

Alright, after that, you’re in for a bittersweet cutscene.

Seemed like Auguste got the ending he wanted.
