Soldier 0 – Anby, or shorten as Sanby, was initially released in Zenless Zone Zero version 1.6. Looks like the community is not satisfied with her kits, as soon developers release an announcement stating that Sanby will received a new upgrade (called Activate Potential). This has happen before with Ellen Joe (an S-Rank Ice DPS).

Now that it happens to the mascot of ZZZ (she’s literally the face of the app), let’s see what’s the new addition for Sanby in the game!

Important: This guide were create with the Creator Experience Server.
The content produced in the video is based on the version during the testing period and does not represent the final value.

What’s New with Soldier 0 – Anby

There are actually MANY additions to Sanby’s kit in ZZZ, but the following are the most important upgrade that you need to know.

Chain Attack & Ultimate are Aftershock DMG

Sanby’s Core Passive
Orphie’s Additional Ability

First of all, Sanby’s Chain Attack and Ultimate are treated as Aftershock DMG. This is extremely good because it can take advantage of the additional Crit DMG from the Core Skill, and (if you bring Orphie to the team) the Aftershock damage will now ignores 25% DEF by the Zeroed In status from Orphie.

Special Attack: Azure Flash – Boundary

After using the three White Thunder DMG instances (EX Special Attack), there will now a new follow-up attack. This is an automatic attack just like Ellen’s new Icy Blade, aka once the animation starts, you can switch out to another character and Sanby will still continue finishing the follow-up attack. Please refer to the GIF above.

Teammates Now Contribute to Silver Star

This is one upgrade that I find really helpful! Now, teammate’s Aftershock attack will also build Silver Star charge on the enemy (1 charge every 5 second). If you bring along off-field character that can deal Aftershock damage (Trigger / Orphie / Pulchra), they can help Sanby build up the Silver Star charges.

Thunder Smite Will Attack Nearest Enemy Target

When you use her EX Special Attack 3 times in a row on the same enemy, a lightning strike will fall at the enemy’s location (from Special Attack: Thunder Smite). Now with her activated potential, if your target is defeated before the thunder can hit it, it will target the nearest target instead, not wasting the extra damage!

Other Additional Buffs

  • 3rd hit of Basic Attack now continously pulled in enemies.
  • Dodge Counter grants Voltage Overload state; If an enemy is marked with White Thunder, Sanby can interrupt her current skill and instantly use her Special Attack.

Soldier 0 – Anby Synergy & Team Compositions

First of all, the Stun. After all, you need stun window for Sanby to deal the highest damage she can do. In addition, it’s best if those characters can deal Aftershock damage so they can take advantage of Sanby Core Passive and help getting the Silver Star stack. The best characters would be Trigger / Ju Fufu / Pulchra.

These two are completely unique as despite being an Attack character, Orphie and Seed can co-exist with Sanby and dealing damage while providing buffs to the team. If you have either of these two, it’s definitely recommended to bring one of them to the team!

Having a normal Support to the team is also normal, especially if you have Astra. Of course, Nicole and Lucy are also good, but they’re 4-stars, so you know Astra is much better.

Soldier 0 – Anby Mindscape Overview

Best Mindscapes: M1, M2 & M6

  • Mindscape 1 ★: When Soldier 0 – Anby uses an EX Special Attack to hit an enemy, it triggers the additional DMG from White Thunder 3 times. This effect does not consume any White Thunder stacks.
  • Mindscape 2 ★: Soldier 0 – Anby’s CRIT Rate increases by 12%. When she uses her Ultimate, she gains 6 stacks of Thunder’s Cry (max 6 stacks). With Thunder’s Cry, when using Special Attack: Azure Flash to hit an enemy with White Thunder, it will consume 1 stack of Thunder’s Cry instead. Only 1 stack of Thunder’s Cry will be consumed when a single use of a skill hits multiple enemies, and consuming Thunder’s Cry will still activate the additional DMG from White Thunder.
  • Mindscape 3: Basic Attack, Assist, Dodge, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
  • Mindscape 4: When hitting an enemy marked with Silver Star, Soldier 0 – Anby ignores 12% of the target’s Electric RES.
  • Mindscape 5: Basic Attack, Assist, Dodge, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
  • Mindscape 6 ★: Upon triggering 6 instances of White Thunder’s additional DMG, an electromagnetic vortex will be generated, dealing 1,000% of Soldier 0 – Anby’s ATK as Electric DMG. This DMG is considered Aftershock DMG.
