There are many end-games in Honkai: Star Rail, but the first and most famous one would be Memory of Chaos, where players tried to complete the last stage will shorter cycles as possible. Another refresh hit the MoC for version 4.0, featuring new boss @SparxiConOfficial and the Memosprite-team punching bag Zandar. This guide will help you understand the mechanics for the enemies in the current Memory of Chaos, and the best team to bring in the challenge in Honkai: Star Rail!

Memory of Chaos Floor 11 Guide

First Half

Mechanic Analysis & Guide

In the first wave, there are 2 enemies, Ichor Memosprite Winged Serpent and Senior Staff: Team Leader. But those who fought the Team Leader before should know that it can summon Grunt: Field Personnel or Grunt: Security Personnel.

  • I find both of them being equal in term of danger so you can choose which enemy you want to target first. Personally, I recommend the Team Leader because summoning more enemies mean it might delay your battle and waste a cycle or two. But if this elite enemy manages to summon the mobs, know that their mechanics are tied to Performance Points. The more Performance Points it has, the higher their following attack is. You can remove the points by Weakness Breaking them or defeat them completely.
  • While for the Winged Serpent, some of its attacks can inflict Corrosion on your characters that were hit. You can remove the Corrosion by healing the affected characters. In addition, it can enters the Charging state and gains 5 stacks of Whirl. If you didnโ€™t remove the Whirl stacks before the next action, this enemy will use its Ultimate attack. You can remove these stacks simply by attacking it. Attack 5 times before the Winged Serpentโ€™s next turn, and you will also ends the Charging state.

In the second wave, we have the whole gang of Bananacademic Office Staff. There are 5 of them in total, excluding the shared HP pool at the top of the screen named Wonder Forestโ€™s Bananacademic Office Staff. If you attacked any of the mobs down there, the HP pool up there will also take damage. Each of these Staffs have Off-Channel state and Classroom Channel state. You need to always aim for the Off-Channel state as it will benefit your team.

  • The first one you need to know is Bananacademic Officeโ€™s Assistanana (there are 2 on the field). When in the Off-Channel state, it will regenerates Energy for one of your character. But if in the Classroom Channel state, it will reduce Energy for everyone, while also dealing damage.
  • The second one is Bananacademic Officeโ€™s Fortune BananAdvisor. Their Off-Channel state is also greatly beneficial for the team as it will regenerates Skill Points for team. But if in the Classroom Channel state, it will reduces Skill Points for the team.
  • The third one is Bananacademic Officeโ€™s Dreamweaver BananAdvisor. In the Off-Channel state, it will advances action for your whole team. On the contrary, the Classroom Channel state will advances action for all enemies.
  • The last one is the big one, Bananacademic Officeโ€™s Charmony BananAdvisor. Getting this one to the Off-Channel will provides the whole team an ATK bonus.

For which enemy you want to prioritize first, it depends on your team. If your team depends on Ultimate for the damage output, attack the Assistanana for the Energy. If your team uses a lot of Skill Points, attack the Fortune BananAdvisor, and so on.

Team Recommendations

The weaknesses for the first half are Ice and Fire. In addition, since the Memory of Chaos benefits Elation character (as it provides Punchline), using the new Elation characters Yao Guang and soon-to-be-released Sparxie are also beneficial.

Second Half

Mechanic Analysis & Guide

In the first wave, there are Aurumaton Spectral Envoy and Dreamjolt Troupeโ€™s Sweet Gorilla. Because of the latter, itโ€™s best if you bring a shielder instead of a healer- which will explain more later.

  • Aurumaton Spectral Envoyโ€™s attack can inflict Reverberation on the target. When your character that has the Reverberation get attacked another time, they will enter the Strong Reverberation state aka cannot take action.
  • The next elite enemy is the Sweet Gorilla, and one of its ability is to enter a Charging state before using its Ultimate in the next turn. The Ultimate will deal Bounce DMG, which can be rebound/deflected if your characters have a shield. In addition, the damage that were deflected to the Sweet Gorilla also has a chance to decrease its DEF. Another thing is that this elite enemies can summon 2 Bubble Hounds. But these mobs are decently weak and doesnโ€™t have anything too special.

In the second wave, there is only Ichor Memosprite: Judge of Oblivion. However, this boss can summon Ichor Memosprite: Pheasant, where if you defeat these mobs, the bossโ€™ Toughness will be reduced.

  • Aside from the Sweet Gorilla in the first wave, this enemy also prefers shield instead of healer. One of its attack will lock on to a single character, and if the targeted character has a shield when being attacked by the boss, the bossโ€™ Toughness will be reduced instead. Yes, itโ€™s all about reducing the Judge of Oblivionโ€™s Toughness, as you can see how high it is. On the bright side, once you finally Weakness Break the Judge, it will receive massive damage.
  • When the summoned mobs appear, make sure to target the mobs instead so you can reduce the bossโ€™ Toughness much faster.

Team Recommendations

The weaknesses for the second half are Imaginary and Physical. Furthermore, a shielder is much more beneficial here than a healer for halves of the enemiesโ€™ mechanic. But that doesnโ€™t mean healer shouldnโ€™t be used here.

First Half

Mechanic Analysis & Guide

In the first wave, there are multiple mobs so a single-target DPS may have a hard time (like Archer, but still doable with Yao Guang and Elation mechanic).

  • The first mobs are 2 Aggressive Reading Materials. They wil enter the โ€œBook-Smartโ€ state right from the start, and it will increase their DMG while decreasing damage taken. You can remove this state if this enemy receive Elation DMG or the team gains Punchline (Elation mechanic). If you donโ€™t bring any Elation character, brute force is the way.
  • Second one is Rocking Rebel. This chicken will enter the Charging mode on its first turn and uses its Ultimate in the next one if you didnโ€™t manage to dispel the charging state. You can do so by triggering Weakness Broken or Aha Instant (or Yao Guangโ€™s Ultimate to trigger the Aha Instant).
  • The last enemy is Canvas Peacock. You can see the โ€˜Paintโ€™ stacks on the side of Canvas Peacockโ€™s HP. When attacked by any of your character, the Peacock will gain 1 point of Paint based on the attackerโ€™s Type (Archerโ€™s Type is Quantum, so it will gain Ultramarine paint). More Paints will be added if you use Elation attacks.

The last wave features the brand new elite enemy, @SparxiConOfficial and she has 2 phases. In both phases, she has almost the same mechanic for the Ultimate.

  • She will let you choose one character to fight in a sub-field while other characters remain in the prime-field providing support (you can play the characters in the prime field, this is NOT like Phainonโ€™s domain where you can only play him during Ultimate).
  • In the first phase of @SparxiConOfficial, the enemies your DPS will be facing in the sub-field are 3 Aggressive Reading Materials. While in the second phase, the enemies will be 2 Aggressive Reading Materials and Live Stream Assistant. Thereโ€™s nothing else to do but defeating these enemies.
  • Once all enemies are defeated, your chosen character will leave the sub-field, increases the damage taken by all enemies, delay enemies action, recover Skill Points for us, and enables Aha to immediately gain an extra turn.

While your DPS is on the sub-field, the remaining characters in the prime-field can choose to attack the Output Port 1 to increase the โ€˜Ally Popularityโ€™ stacks or Output Port 2 to decrease the โ€˜Enemy Popularityโ€™ stacks. Blast or AoE attacks are even better as you can hit every enemy on the field.

  • If Ally Popularity increases, ally on the sub-field will gain All-Type RES PEN Boost.
  • If Enemy Popularity decreases, enemy targets on the sub-field lose their damage buff.

Team Recommendations

The weaknesses for the first half are Fire, as almost all enemies have Fire weakness. This half is made for Sparxie โ€“ a new Elation character that will be released in the second half of version 4.0. But donโ€™t worry as many other teams can still complete this without a sweat!

Second Half

Mechanic Analysis & Guide

In the first wave, there are 2 elite enemies: Black Tideโ€™s Corroded Daemon and Lady of Crashing Waves.

  • For Black Tideโ€™s Corroded Daemon, if your character has Corrosion, it has the ability to absorb the Corrosion to fill its stack of Filth. When the stack of Filth is full, it can trigger its Ultimate attack.
  • For the Lady of Crashing Waves, it will has a stacks of Respite By The Waters. Once you fill the stacks by attacking it, the enemy will advances its own action โ€“ which is why DoT is perfect for it as it will take damage when its turn started. This elite enemy will also summon minions that have the same mechanic.

In the second wave, we have Zandar. Like many other enemies, this one also loves to summon mobs. However, what unique is that Zandar has 2 different forms. And the mobs summoned by him will be different depending on what form he is now.

In Form 1, he will summons Furiae Warrior, and when certain conditions are met (such as minions or Memosprites being summoned a certain number of times), it will switch mode to Form 2. Beware that Zandar can heal its summon, increase their damage, and advance their actions.

One of Zandarโ€™s attack that benefits your character is when he inflict Antinomy to a selected target. The target will immediately takes action and have full Energy to trigger Ultimate. However, using the Ultimate given by Zandar will cause themselves to take some damage. Itโ€™s very tempting to use, but make sure you have a healer that can immediately said character before they are attacked.

In Form 2, the mobs summoned will be Tide-Eroded Blade and Black Tideโ€™s Corroded Axe. Furthermore, Zandar will continuously summons minions (new ones will appears once the old ones are defeated), which act immediately. Once you manage to defeat 10 of the minions, he will use his Ultimate move, and goes back to Form 1. So what you need to do is keep defeating the mobs and make sure the teamโ€™s health are in tip-top shape to tank the damage from Zandarโ€™s Ultimate attack.

Team Recommendations

The weaknesses for the second half are Wind and Ice. But truthfully, there are many weakness in this half that as long as your DPS is still in meta and has great build, they can complete it.
