Valiant Chronicles are unlockable by talking to Katheryne in Nod-Krai. After unlocking it, you can see the information of Local Legens in Nod-Krai, and the ‘achievements’ that come with it. In version 6.0, there are 3 Local Legends, and each of them has 3 achievements (which you can get in a single battle, unlike the previous Local Legends).

Local Legend Sigurd Achievements

Sigurd the Local Legend is located on Lempo Isle (east of the final ‘s’ in Barrowmoss Barrens) and can only be unlocked once you complete The Bell of Mourning Echoes Quest. Here are the achievements that can be obtained from Sigurd:

1. Defeat Local Legend: Sigurd.
2. During the course of completing a single challenge, avoid getting hit by Sigurd’s “Demonsbane Strike.”
3. During the course of completing a single challenge, eliminate all lured Wilderness Exiles before Sigurd can act.

Avoid getting hit by Sigurd’s “Demonsbane Strike.”

The second achievement is to avoid getting hit by Sigurd’s “Demonsbane Strike.” This strike is the AoE Electro circle one, which you can see on the ground. After a second or two you see that AoE circle, Sigurd will deal numerous Electro slashes inside the AoE that looks like Keqing’s Ultimate (You need to avoid THESE slashes). Make sure to pay attention because you have a really short window to avoid this skill, so don’t go spamming everything (especially 5-star Burst that takes a few seconds for the animation) that you didn’t see this attack coming.

This “Demonsbane Strike” is only available in the first phase, so once you enter the second phase of Sigurd, you don’t have to worry about it anymore.

Eliminate all lured Wilderness Exiles before Sigurd can act

For the third achievement, you need to eliminate all lured Wilderness Exiles before Sigurd can act. The Wilderness Exiles are the monsters spawned by Sigurd once he entered the second phase. You must reduce Sigurd’s HP to zero so he will enter the second phase (he will restore his HP back just like the Wilderness Exiles).

Tips: All Exiles are melee attackers, but they teleport and will most of the time chase after you, so you won’t have difficulty grouping them. But you still need some sort of AoE attacks so all the enemies take collateral damage.

“Before Sigurd can act” meant not to let Sigurd absorb those Wilderness Exiles to restore his Max HP (he will do this ~15 seconds after the Exiles are spawned). Defeat Sigurd before he can absorb any Wilderness Exiles, and you will get this achievement.

Local Legend Crab Tsar Achievements

Crab Tsar is located on Hiisi Island, in the underground cave under the Light-Bathed Platform. Similar to other Local Legends, this one is also locked behind a quest called The Mirrors, the Maze, and the Tsar. Once you complete the quest, wait for a daily reset, and it will appear in the same spot where you defeated it before. Here are the achievements that can be obtained from Crab Tsar:

1. Defeat Local Legend: Crab Tsar.
2. During the course of completing a single challenge, successfully convert a total of at least 10 of the Crab Tsar’s Stoneborne Seeds.
3. During the course of completing a single challenge, shoot down the Crab Tsar before it executes its “Tsarly Bombardment” for the second time.

Convert a total of at least 10 of the Crab Tsar’s Stoneborne Seeds

Stoneborne Seeds are the blue plant that looks like mushrooms. You can use Bloom/Hyperbloom/Burgeon/Lunar-Bloom to convert Stoneborne Seeds and send them back to Crab Tsar and deal damage to the boss. 

There will be a time when Crab Tsar drops one Stoneborne Seeds at a time (during its basic attacks), and a time where the boss will float and drops a whole batch of Seeds (A total of 17 Seeds when it’s floating). In short, you will have enough Seeds to convert as long as you bring the right characters.

Shoot down the Crab Tsar before it executes its “Tsarly Bombardment” for the second time

As mentioned before, there are times when it floats in the air and drops a whole batch of Stoneborne Seeds (A total of 17 Stoneborne Seeds when it’s floating). You need to convert at least 7 of them so they will turn into a homing shot to the crab and deal enough damage to break the crab’s shield and bring it down. 
If you didn’t bring it down with the Seeds after a period of time, it will deal Tsarly Bombardment.

Now, the task sounds confusing, but what you need to do is make sure that the Tsar boss does not float twice to charge for its Tsarly Bombardment in a single battle. In other word, this is kind of a DPS check as you need to defeat the enemies as fast as you can before the boss can float for the second time.

Local Legend Raskolnikov Achievements

Located at the top level of the Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau. After completing The Shoemaker’s Children Go Barefoot Quest in there, he will appear after the daily reset in the same location as a Local Legend. Here are the achievements that can be obtained from Raskolnikov:

1. Defeat Local Legend: Raskolnikov.
2. During the course of completing a single challenge, destroy Raskolnikov’s “Experimental Multi-Shield.”
3. During the course of completing a single challenge, avoid getting hit by any of Raskolnikov’s Electro attacks.

Destroy Raskolnikov’s “Experimental Multi-Shield”

Raskolnikov will gain 3 layers of shields, each 6% of his Max HP. The Shield takes 600% increased Electro-Charged and Lunar-Charged DMG. When each layer is broken, loses 6% HP and generates Elemental Orbs: Regenerates 18 Electro Energy and 6 other Energy. As mentioned just now, it takes more Electro/Lunar-Charged damage, so bring them along if you have them!

Notes: Breaking all shields within a certain time to decrease Electro RES by 110% and other RES by 50%.

Avoid getting hit by any of Raskolnikov’s Electro attacks

Raskolnikov can deal both Pyro and Electro attacks. Most of his attacks are Pyro (as you can see from the red shine on his claymore), while his only Electro attacks are when he has the Experimental Multi-Shield up and down (please correct me if I’m wrong- I waited to see his whole kit for 10 minutes before defeating it and this is the only attacks that dealt Electro damage).

When Raskolnikov has his shield up, there will Electro AoE instances from above that you can easily avoid as long as you see the red AoE indicator on the ground and evade accordingly.
Tips: You can see whether you got hit or not by the Electro icon above your HP bar.

If you didn’t destroy his shield in time (~30 seconds), he will retract back all his shield and dealt three last Electro attacks, but these ones doesn’t have a red AoE indicator so you can only depends on the sound effect and time it yourself.
