This quest is the continuation after completing Prelude to the Night Vigil Quest Chain in Genshin Impact, where you need to cleanse the corruption and restore the barrier core in Pillar of Embla. If you didn’t complete the previous quest yet, head over to this guide: Prelude to the Night Vigil Quest Chain Guide | Genshin Impact
When War Songs Rise

When War Songs Rises is the first quest inside the ‘Doruud’s Long Poem’ quest chain, and you need to head to Cliffwatch Camp. Just follow the quest navigation to meet Illuga there. Afterwards, keep following the navigation as there is no puzzle.

Along the way, you need to light the Oath Lantern on the sidewalks. You can do so by picking up Glimmerfruit and throwing it at the lantern. There will also be some enemies spawned afterward, so focus on defeating them.

The first puzzle is here, where you need to rebuild the barrier. Simply go to the altar and activate it. But immediately afterward, the Evil Eye will restore the altar. This is where the real puzzle comes in, with the additional new quests where you need to activate three Verdant Crests. Each crest has its own quests below.
Focal Point of Ancient Array (1)

From the previous position, head west to the navigated area (right underneath the Kipumaki Cliff name). This one is really simple, where you need to defeat the enemies before you can resonate with the Verdant Crest.
Focal Point of Ancient Array (2)

From the previous spot where you finish Focal Point of Ancient Array (1), head northwest to the navigated area (don’t forget to activate the waypoint in case you haven’t yet). Once you arrive at the Verdant Crest, the evil eye will attack the building and shatter it. You need to destroy all the Abyssal Riftlines using the Spirebloom’s Kuuvahki lightswords on the way to reach the crest.

Next, pick up the Intricate Bloom and place it in a specific spot above (look at my spot in the image above). You can then create a pathway using the Suffused objects.

Follow the path and climb on top of the broken pillar so you can be in range of the next Intricate Bloom. Pick it up and immediately drop it again on your spot to make the path. Cross the path you just made.

On the next floating platform, turn around and take the previous Intricate Bloom and face north before dropping it again.

Once you reach the last platform, pick up the Spirebloom to use the Kuuvahki lightswords on the Abyssal Riftlines in front of you. You need to parry the Evil Eye’s attack. Hold aim until the attack almost hits your shield, then release it (you should be able to see that your shield is flashing a second before the attack hits the shield). You should get a slow-mo animation if you’re doing it right.

Once the enemies are gone, go forward to the wall, and there will be a prompt for you to pull the Verdant Crest (If there’s none, pick up the Spirebloom again) from the wall. Do it and walk backwards until the connection between the Spirebloom and Crest disappears on its own.
Focal Point of Ancient Array (3)

Teleport to the waypoint south of Kipumaki Cliff, and head west to the navigated area. The Evil Eye will make an appearance, and you will enter a unique battle. Avoid all the incoming attacks and pick up the glowing Energy Orbs so you can use a Kuuvahki lightblades on the Evil Eye. Make sure you face the direction of the Evil Eye before launching the lightblades (as you can’t hold to aim in this battle). Don’t forget that you can also jump to avoid the Evil Eye attacks!
When War Songs Rises

After that, return to the When War Song Rises quest and follow the navigation to activate the last Verdant Crest south of the waypoint in Kipumaki Cliff.

There will be a short quick-time event where you need to tap Space when the Evil Eye attacks your shield.

After the small conversation with Illuga and others, use the Moonlane to reach the underground area (Chasm of Endless Decay). On the way, don’t forget to use the Kuuvahki lightswords to destroy the Abyssal Riftlines that were obstructing the Moonlane.

When you reach the area, you will be in Illuga’s POV for a while. Don’t worry, as you were supposed to get hit by the enemy’s attack. But he will recover afterward and head further inside the chasm. Although down there, you will once again be supposed to lose because you only have Illuga in the team. But don’t worry, reinforcements will arrive right afterward.

Now, you need to restore the sword formation of Sealing Blades by returning the blades to their scabbards according to the patterns on their hilts. Once you pick up the sword, make sure you are outside the formation before throwing the swords into the scabbards. After that, you will complete this quest and the whole quest chain, while getting a new quest chain.

The next quest is called The Last Night, the First Light, part of the next quest chain ‘A Star Out of Time.’ You can read and follow the guide here: A Star Out of Time Quest Chain Guide | Genshin Impact
